Papercut

a little country-flavored tune and one of the best songs i've ever written.  i moved to birmingham with only one guitar and that guitar only had four strings.  i didn't have any money to buy any more.  with those four strings i wrote the main guitar riff and the sad lyrics about being in one of my favorite old haunts (a bar called innisfree) at closing time, making it home to pass out in a puddle of sweat just as the rest of the world was waking up to go to work.
