What Never Was

Today I will die
Will you be there by my side?
This loneliness ends

Fragile little days
Always seem to pass me by
Where is happiness?

In my weary head
Everything turns a deep red
Maybe that's okay?

The world is crowded
It doesn't need another
Empty the chamber

Welcome this relief
Has sadness left me behind?
Cut the artery 

Life is not easy
I can't struggle forever
My tears will not stop

Where did my friends go?
I always feel so alone
Isolation kills

The sun hurts my eyes
I do not like how I feel
Just end it all now


What is a Friend?

Here I sit in absolutism 
along this illuminating path 
never have I wondered down 
in the valley of a shadow of doubt
I’m santified. I’m vilified. I’m light
I burn down all in my fields and seas
I hear these thoughts in my head
but I know they are just a warning
man cannot trample spirit 
even if you tie me down and strip
away all of my locks, dreams remain
do we really ever purify by purging?
I keep my sickness in my being

You're a ghost I can't let go of
Your green eyes pierce
right through my body
I stumble down the streets
trying to keep up with you 
this city took you
I should let go

Did you know how I feel?
You didn't see the tears
of sorrow, hatred, and pride
I would've died
to give you a dream

My chest hurts, keeping up this facade
I smile and lie
I don't say
I'm not selfish enough 
to make you give up your dreams
I can't pretend 
that I'm a martyr

I hope it all works out

will you remember me then?
