This is a demo to "Coping," the first track in the prog rock album, "In the Eye of the Beholder": 

Coping (Demo)

This is the second song in the Prog Rock album "In the Eye of the Beholder." Where "Coping" was about the trauma of lost love, "Flight to Fantasy" shows the attempt to escape one's suffering by escaping themselves into another world. In this case...gaming.

This brass trio is based on the Picasso painting of the same name. The piece itself is generally programmatic and composed with phrygian influences based on the Spanish setting.

In the piece you will mostly here the foreboding character of the bull in the low neighboring tones of the tuba, and the majestic nature of the horse in the trumpet. Eventually the horse is beaten down and eaten by the bull horrifically. In the music, the death blow is signified by the four marcato notes in the trombone. After which, the trumpet dies away with the horse; leaving only the beast of a bull unsated by its meal and unresolved in its blood thirst.
