Written with a ROLI Seaboard, soundchips from some very old machines, a piano, a field recorder, and some excellent instrumental recordings from friends.

Elemental Fusion is an album of collaborations with instrumentalists. In most cases, I asked friends to record a few minutes of improv or pseudo-improv to use as a springboard for writing a piece of music. The tracks would then be built around whatever they sent me, often chopped up and manipulated. The result is serendipitous; these works were pushed in unique, unexpected directions by my collaborators' performances. The compositional challenge was thrilling.

This album also interprets the word "fusion" in other senses - it is a spiritual successor to the similarly-named pair of diametrically opposed EPs I released in 2022, Elemental Harmony & Elemental Chaos, combining their respective styles of "melodic chiptune" and "ambient glitch" into one work that lives on a spectrum between them. It is a blend of acoustic warmth and digital processing. It is also a synthesis of many different styles, sounds and techniques that I've come to enjoy employing in my writing.

Elemental Fusion is perhaps my most challenging and varied work to date, and I think about it as a recital of sorts for the classical concert stage, a statement of purpose. To that end, detailed program notes are included with the album!

The Gods in the Machine (Chiptune Album): "Invictus WildBot Regnabit"

2 x Commodore Amiga 500 Computers (1987)... 1 x DJ Mixer...  and years worth of tracking 4 channel MOD files in Protracker!!  A computer less than 8Mhz in speed and with less than 1MB of RAM (it has 512k!)  This is the result, played live for the first time at Synchronicity 10 party. Previous to this I was playing live on an MC505 but it died a few weeks before the show... or else I may never have pulled this set together! 


The recording was a combo of a X/Y mic and a live line input.  I didn't realize that it was still recording in this fashion when I was playing hence you've got all the background crowd too - but I guess it adds to the atmos!  Outdoor party the undercover area up front and a tin roof that rattles occasionally :-)

I decided for Volume 4 that I would go back a bit to my roots, which is Progressive/Progressive House/Progressive Trance. There are a lot of beauties in here and I even snuck in some dubsteppy tunes that help to balance the whole thing out. Game Over Volume 6 is admittedly long overdue but I do hope you enjoy this installment in the series. This release features some excellent remixes from Mega Man and Final Fantasy with Beto Ceba and PsyNES being heavy contributors. Dreaml4nd made a monster of a remix of the Giant of Babil theme from Final Fantasy 4, DJ Abscence create a mind blowing remix of Sonic The Hedgehog 3's Ice Cap Zone, and Tamerax contributed a huge Castlevania remix. I was happy that I was even able to sneak in a remix from Monkey Island and Crash Bandicoot. Enjoy!

VERY loose and weird remix of music from my #1 favorite video game of all time, Riven: The Sequel to Myst : )

Featuring: Catherine's Prelude, Gehn Speaks, Gehn's Theme, Moeity Theme...as well as technically Temple but only as in it was sampled for like 2 seconds and it's barely audible lol. and also a bunch of sound effects from the game!

Also this references the number 5 musically in a ton of different ways because Riven the game references the number 5 in an insane amount of different ways but the music mostly /doesn't/, so I wanted to make a version of the music that did! I've wanted to do something like this for AGES, had this idea floating in my head for like a decade, took until now to finally force myself to make it a reality !
