Under the Handle “GodF4th3r,” young Georgia state native, Nathaniel Roberts, grew up in Pickens County in the greater ATL area. He didn’t have the usual rapper’s come up of growing up in the ghetto, and instead of rapping about the typical topic of women and drugs as he used to, is trying to make music more either to simply get lit and vibe to or songs with more of a message behind them that anyone else can relate to (including himself)

GodF4th3r’s inspirations range from mumble rappers such as Yeat, Travis Scott, Don Toliver, and Future, to more lyrical rappers such as J Cole, Kendrick Lamar, Mac Miller, and Big Sean, and singers such as JVKE, Neil Diamond, and Billy Joel.

Ever since he was young, Nathaniel was obsessed with music, while in elementary school he always wanted to be a rockstar, often finding himself being obsessed with classic rock bands at that time. In 4th grade he joined his elementary school’s music program. He soon grew an obsession with the military and even found himself obsessing over the music from there aswell. In 6th grade he joined his middle school band, and in 7th grade he joined his school’s choir. During his 7th grade year he also found himself obsessing over older rappers and groups such as Dr Dre and NWA. During this time he also started listening to independent pop artists such as JVKE and d4vd. He also found himself entangled with theatre and acting during his 7th grade year. Despite these newly formed interests this was also his darkest time, nearly taking his life 4 times during this time period. Now a freshman in high school, he has performed many concerts with his school’s choir and is still learning new tips and tricks for lyricism, mixing, mastering, producing, etc.

GodF4th3r started out his serious career with BandLab and a pair of Apple earbuds with which he made his debut single, “Not A lot.” While not being a fantastic song, really showed a good example of how much someone can change when compared to his later songs. Soon after he got a usb Microphone and some headphones and started working on his first mixtape titled “GodF4th3r - The White Album” on July 4th, 2024, which was described by himself as “though subpar, still a sign of good progress.” As of now he has is using FL Studio and has a professional microphone and interface.

His Second Mixtape “The Inner Circle” (originally titled, “Black Hat Society”) was originally intended to be an album but was decided as more of a compilation/mixtape than an album based on how it was put together. The project was released exclusively on BandLab due to him wanting it to be over with and to focus more on marketing his music and releasing more singles instead of album after album.
