A purely random improvisation I just recorded. I figure, since it's the last day of the year 2012, why not mark it with a recording? Can't do any harm. Oh, and there's a hidden sound bite in there.. a clue to a track I'm working on. There's no way you'll get it unless I have played you my ideas before.

I hope you've all had a good year, and if not.. I hope you've all learned how to make the next year better. A year gives you a lot of time to do a lot of things, but there's only one of them. Let's get busy, alright?

Last Day of the Year at Peterborough

In my youth I had a dislike for children. They were dirty, noisy, rude and selfish with their toys. They never wanted to give me their sweets either. As I grew up though I started to realise that children are the only ones capable of returning undiluted, unselfish love. Somewhere between Child and Adult, people lose their heart or have had so much of it damaged that they only share it with one other person. In a family of 5 that will be a problem.

I refuse to become like them. I refuse to be someone who has a lot of associates that I do not really care about. It's what I see the majority doing. Let's be honest here, actions speak louder than words. Words give promise, and contradicting actions destroy hope.

Instead I will be one to keep an open heart. I will suffer and be destroyed but I will not become like you. I will love eagerly, care without ceasing, prove my words by action.

I will grow a heart better than what I had as a child.

You always want to please the ones you love, have them be proud of you for doing the right thing. I guess we're all children who want their friends and parents approval :)
