A hundred years ago the ceiling collapsed in this recital space, killing four musicians. The tragedy shook the town something awful. Now today they say a ghost of a woman with her head on backwards haunts the room still. It was definitely that and not cos the AI put her head on backwards. No sir. You put such thoughts out of your mind this instant, it was a backwards headed ghost and no mistake.

You pay a visit to the great grandfather's grave. But what's this, a creepy fog fills the room and the moonlight shines in through the window. You've been here many times before but this time feels different. You're all like "Wow, this feels weird" Just then, you hear it. Great grandfather's voice. At least you assume so, I mean who else would it be? You listen closely to the whisper. Sure enough, that's a legit crypt whisper and no mistake. You run the hell out of there with a quickness.

She's at it again, Mrs. MacGuire hauling her harp out into the woods to jam in peace. Playing well into the night she even had to bring candles. Not only did this help her see what she was doing, but it also looked pretty. Hope it doesn't start a fire or nothing. Anyway, her and her musician weirdos always go out there and play this boring tune until the birds and squirrels drop off the trees sleeping. I shit you not, this really happened. I went out there once with my baller Nagra tape recorder and scored this track.

I wanted to see if Logic could play 48 tracks without crashing. Looks like it worked. No plugins, though.

48 Tracks At Once

I spent all Sunday working on this (well now Monday), hence the title. It's the first guitar-based song I've recorded entirely inside a DAW.  I used Logic Pro on a Mac Pro.  Look, I can't help that the last sentence sounds redundant, that's what it's called.  Presonus StudioLive 16.4.2 mixer as the interface.  Guitars are from Overloud TH3 plugin, bass is direct and drums are Superior 2.0 Metal Foundry.  I think I started with the "CL-Defeat" preset perhaps. Mixed on headphones, so maybe it sucks, but I won't be able to check until later.  I don't think it sucks, I've got a fairly good feeling about it overall.  It does need some screaming leads, as the "Guitar Hero" preset only shows up once.  Maybe I will haul out the whammy bar guitar for that.

But seriously now, I am getting a little bit of Dead Can Dance's very first album vibe here.  I mean just a bit.  I dunno, you could do worse I guess.
