Imagine yourself standing alone in a classroom full of school students, ready to learn and waiting on you.

But you're not a teacher. You have the knowledge but this is a first.

That's the situation faced by a group of female scientists as part of Catch a Rising Star: Women in Science in Regional Queensland.

In conjunction with National Science Week up and coming female scientists flew to remote and regional Queensland schools to share their knowledge and build relationships within the community.

Catch a Rising Star is supported by Inspiring Australia, and is an initiative led by Mathilde Desselle and Dr Maggie Hardy.
