For volume one of our Nativecast mix series, we are pleased to present you with Amsterdam based DJ and producer NAKANO BLU. He came into the scene during the turbulent year of 2021, after switching from his drumming career towards dark electronic music. Being active for many years as a hip-hop producer and multi-purpose session drummer, he decided to start a new project focusing on the inspiring sounds of Amsterdam`s club scene, where techno is king and there is a big space for experimental DJ and producers to play their tracks for an electronic-loving crowd. 

His first single release with cologne-based label Urban Undergrounds was a more chilled, outsider house track, but his production style evolved quickly into the IDM and lo-fi techno sounds of his first EP, Æ, released with Berlin's  label Corresponding Positions, house of releases from techno legends like Umwelt or Templer. Following this evolution NAKANO BLU progressed into the breakbeat productions and fast-moving DJ sets that contain an eclectic mix of techno, IDM and juke/ghetto, defining his particular DJ style and ready to smash the dancefloor of any club.

Kicking off the third installment of our NEIGHBOURHOOD WATCH is none other than the alien boogie commander Volruptus. The Iceland-born producer leaves his mark on every track he makes and ‘UFO Rider’ is no different - a classic Volruptus baseline with whirling, alien-like synths layered on top.

Taking the controls next is another Icelandic producer and half of Polar Attraction which is Jadzia. She’s been on a tear since she started releasing nothing but dance floor killers. She’s put together yet another electro heater for us with ‘Hycean’.

Third is Cincinnati native PTHGN. Although only bursting onto the Soundcloud scene recently, PTHGN is coming up on his 10th year in music production. The years perfecting his craft are on full display in all his tunes. Recently appearing on International Chrome’s IC10, he’s now blessed us with standout track ‘West Coast Freaks’.

Next up is someone we’ve worked with before, Lithuanian beast 5ZYL. He’s been active recently, releasing 2 sick EPs in quick succession over at PZ Records. He’s hit us with another high energy acidic track with ‘Purple People’.

Closing off this time is co-founder of Raiders, Young Lychee. A talented DJ & Producer, his tracks are always put together with pinpoint accuracy. For ‘Can’t Save Me’ he’s got 89 The Brain Child on the lyrics to make for an eerie electro classic.

Jadzia - Hycean

For Volume two of our Nativecast mix series we are pleased to present the homie and up and local up and coming talent, Etari. She has already graced us and killed it with her ‘Midnight Mood’ EP for the label. Based in the city of Los Angeles, Alixandria Andre, is a DJ and music producer that fuses her love for ethereal grooves, jungle, breaks and electro through imaginative productions, diverse Dj sets, and inspired studio mixes. With Djing for exactly a decade, she's discovered bits of her artistic style which has guided her to where she is today. Through some of Etari's past releases on 100% Silk, Low Recordings, Yellow Island & Native Boundaries, you can be sure to hear more of her idiosyncratic productions in the coming years as she expands her artistic craft.

Hot on the heels of their 5th record, Parisian imprint @3FeetDeepRecords are about to release an EP by co-founder Pépé Elle (@ppplprod). The artist returns to the label following an appearance on their most recent compilation where he delivered a certified party starter called ‘Raw’.

For Volume 3 of our Nativecast mix series we are glad to present the homie and magical beat chemist, User Delusion. He is a Los Angeles based producer specialzing in everything from bass, electro and beyond. Over the past year hes being smashing through the compilation circuit with two EPs under his belt. You can find his work being rinsed in the club to the infamous Hor bathroom. 
Expect nothing less than "banging" from the ambitious new comer as hes bound to put you in trance with his hypnotic melodies and stomping 808's.

Hailing from Bristol, K-65’s music often explores the darker terrain of rave-centric breaks and electro, which have graced imprints such as Slippery Sounds, Top Drawer Digital, CORE ltd, Belters Mag, Seagrave, Over and Out, and more. As the second release with the Maison Fauna imprint, “The Sequence” is a massive, electro-focused double hitter. Starting with the A side, “The Sequence” is an unmistakable homage to the more classic electro elements, with a 303-style bass-line that‘s powerful enough to shake a bluetooth speaker (let alone a club). While still undoubtedly an electro tool, “Negative” employs some aspects of breaks and jungle that make the tune the perfect amount of cheeky and unpredictable. With support already pouring in from producers like SAAH, who recently dropped “The Sequence” on their back-back-set on the legendary mix series Hör, K-65’s reputation as an electro wizard is only growing.

For Volume 004 of our mix series, we are happy to present e91. E91 is a DJ and a producer pushing energetic and distorted basslines in the shades of Riga. He has seen consistent releases on labels including Club Designs, Low Income Squad and most recently In2ition Music. His tracks have had a global impact, receiving features from tastemakers like CRUDE Berlin and Posse Up!, while for the last 10 years he’s become a strong presence locally in Riga’s underground and club scene. A fascination with and love of the music led to a desire to create it, and his early experimentations with 8bit music were followed by breakcore and fidget house. His sound now fuses inspiration from each of these eclectic influences and can be best described as high energy club music with a relentless groove.

Akumen is a producer, DJ, and co-founder of Made to Move, a monthly event and live stream radio show, featuring DJs from Southern California and abroad bringing a fresh underground sound to LA. Akumen's emotive productions - released on labels including 12 Inches Deep and Low Recordings - range from uplifting and euphoric to brawny with a melancholy undertone, but always with captivating atmosphere and energy. 

As a DJ, Akumen fuses house, breaks, and rhythmic techno for a high energy set, appearing regularly across LA at bars, clubs, warehouses or streaming monthly on virtualpublic.net. For his Nativecast mix, Akumen takes us on a steadily building, hypnotic journey of chunky electro, acid, industrial and old school rave sounds.

[PREMIERE] Nectax - Vale FM (Samsara Beats)

Londoner Joe Milli joins the Faux Poly family this summer with his instantly classic EP Manifest Leisure. As a long-standing staple of Peckham's music scene, Joe has held down residencies at Tola, Balamii, Rinse FM, and now SWU.FM, along with hosting a packed out in-store party at Planet Wax earlier this year.

Joe's sound is based upon Techno and UK Funky through and through. His radio shows and DJ sets reflect an eclectic taste, branching confidently from these genres, perfectly encapsulated on this release.

Together at the end of 2023, all four tracks rely heavily on the Vermona Mono Lancet bass synth along with steady drum-tool like rhythm, always shining a light on the delivery: super playable club music that isn't overworked. Spanning Techno & Bass, there's a proper UK Funky groove embedded throughout the whole EP.

For Volume 18 of our heavy hitting mix series we are pleased to present Full Motion Disaster (also known as FMD). This is the musical alias of Mumbai based DJ/Producer, Aniket Dabholkar. He is the owner and label manager of Filth Inc. - a dance music record label and promotional channel that gained initial fame for showcasing quality Lo-Fi House tunes before soon expanding to and becoming a known name in styles of music such as Ghettotech, Electro, Breakbeat,Trance  and Rave.

Native Boundaries is an LA based label, mix, and party series spotlighting fresh takes on hard, heavy rave music by @luciddistraction. The label is driven by a vision of melting the boundaries of culture and place to expose listeners to the sounds of Berlin, Chicago, Detroit, and London with a new school twist as interpreted by artists from all over the world. 

Born as a minimal and deep house label in 2021, Native took a decisive turn into heavier territory in late 2022 with EP releases from the fast-rising Etari and label head Lucid Distraction, shortly followed by a 21-track VA featuring the likes of Osutin, Lord Pusswhip, Mezer, Karawai, Mister Sticktalk, In2Stellar, Snarexx, DJ Simlocked and more.
