Ambient Motifs for Self Help is an interpretation of music purposed for low volumes. Inspired by the subliminal and made with care. For the best listening experience, it is suggested to play the album while in a comfortable environment.

The entire arrangement was made with only an electric guitar. Each piece introduces a delicate looping melody, generating subtle percussive and granular artifacts until the layers fold into each other - washing away into following segments.

In the mix are moments taken from a hypnotic self improvement tape on how to quit smoking, spoken by my grandfather William Mount. Additional sounds include ocean waves that were recorded at Waimānalo Beach on the island of Oahu. Hawaii has played a significant role in the history of my family - a tone that manifests itself in this body of work.

This album was printed to tape using a JVC-1695 reel to reel.
