Thurra River Dawn Chorus

I often take a morning bike ride along the Ginninderra Creek bike path. At this spot the creek gets redirected by an outcrop of rock which the boardwalk/bike path goes around. You know spring has arrived in Canberra when you hear the Reed Warblers calling. They migrate from the north of Australia to breed in the lakes and creeks of the south. This recording captures their regular repeated "crut crut crut' call and some resident Ravens. It ends soon after two bikes go rattling by. Its an urban park, so there is some traffic noise!

Spring dawn chorus:
Recorded while camping next to the wetlands at the lovely Grampians Paradise Campgrounds — tucked away from the crowds with views up to Mt Williams. 
Other than the constant calls of the Frogs, Blue Wrens, Grey Shrike Thrushes, Magpies, Crows and Little Wattle Birds, the stars of this recording are the flocks of Corellas flying overhead on route to their feeding grounds — which seemed to be the nearby grassy paddocks.
