Introducing the fifth episode of Aquatic Gardens, we're very happy to host one of the closest RPU friends, Dutch born but raised & based in Barcelona, FARDOE https://soundcloud.com/fardoebenz who performs a beautiful vinyl only set. It's time to let her drive you through some dubtechno, deep house and minimal, from which shines such great energy to warm up for the weekend.

FARDOE is an amazingly talented DJ who we had the pleasure to (not so accidentally) host for the first time back in 2020, in one of our most especial (and successful) raves in the outskirts of Amsterdam. She can be found in Barcelona's best record shops playing from time to time, always under her own name.

As good & old friends of her, we couldn't wait to have Fardoe as our main host today and we're delighted to be able to finally add her to the Aquatic Gardens contributors. A sweet & beautiful music selection for you all to enjoy.

Hailing from Helsinki, Finland, DJ, producer and live act emkay / gem-K shares with us a mix of pure underground tripped out progressive inspired bliss for episode 55 of the CommaCast Series.

A talent that's name continues to pop up in the underground circuit of releases revolving around the electro, breaks and progressive house circuit. A sea of superb releases and productions with labels such as Post Bar, 00 and Radiant Love, emkay is a true force within the small scene pushing other wordly sounds right now.

Nouvel invité sur l'émission tentacular de ce mois-ci, il s’agit de me_diafan (www.soundcloud.com/me_diafan), sélectionneur, curateur et organisateur de soirées basé à Nantes. 

Hôte de la très qualitative série de mix ybyzär (www.soundcloud.com/ybyzar), il fait partie de la famille étendue de la trance prog en France. 

Co-fondateur des mystiques soirées Öz (www.instagram.com/ozcollective_/), il nous a envoyé un mix sublime et sensible rempli d'ambiances rêveuses avec une incroyable sélection de morceaux. Appréciez la balade. 

Crème pour les oreilles, du début à la fin. Il nous a aussi livré quelque mots sur son intention créative:  « Ce mix a été élaboré pour rendre un hommage détourné et nostalgique aux mélodrames fantasy early 2000's et en particulier à celui du pouvoir des trois, figure pop et emblématique de la notion de sororité à l'époque. 

Sans référence directe à une soundtrack, je me suis basé sur le souvenir de sonorités entendues dans ces séries désuètes pour réaliser cette sélection de titres fantomatiques emplis de gimmicks alternatifs, d'incantations magiques et d'amour naïf. Après avoir vaincu les forces du mal ensemble dans la tourmente, donnons-nous rendez-vous au P3 pour un cocktail de genres hybride goût cranberry ¡ »

You might have seen her running things at Baggen or behind the scenes at KUNE Festival, but this time our close friend @maria-cph presents a mix, beautifully woven together that seamlessly guides you through complementary moods of diverse rhythm selection, hard-hitting drums, tasteful vocal samples and floaty synths.  

Despite Maria stepping behind the booth just recently, a clear red thread appears in her sound, which harmonises with the curiosity for music that we’ve always seen her show!

‘96 - the peak of Goa Trance and the likes of Paul Oakenfold and Sasha. The same year two boys named Igor were born in Belgrade, Serbia. 
Locally well known deejays following their own journey through sound, (Igor) Cosmic G and (Igor) Dakman have already shown maturity in both choosing and making records; their first studio work together nested IGORI, a four track EP neatly blending each one’s distinctive sound.

Straight off the bat “I” opens a portal into another dimension, with crispy percussion and intricate baseline progression, gated sounds leading to a swift breakdown before the groove takes hold once again.

“G” shows its darker tone, captivating progressive trance melodies of the turn of the century: distant vocalizations cleverly fiddle with an ever-evolving harmony, as the percussive tones maintain a high energy.

Perhaps musically the biggest achievement of the EP is the third track “O” - melodic storytelling reflecting more analogue times is tightly arranged around a striped down drum groove laced with minimal synth stabs.

“R” reflects the mood of the entire release with a classic progressive sound, swinging back to a more obscure, deep tech direction. IGORI EP is closed with an unstoppable drum programming carried by multitrack of melodies, showing a leveled collaboration of two gifted producers.
