“Make Time” is the second release from LDLDN (NTS Radio, Spacebass) on his Natural Frequency Records imprint, with remixes from Midnight Snacc (Don’t Be Afraid label head, Semtek & talented DJ/producer, Iona T), and Broke One (Radio Raheem, Italy).

The energetic, dancefloor focused 4-tracker is all about making time for the important stuff in life.

The EP opens with the title track “Make Time”, a classic house jam with snapping percussion and a swelling vocal lick, locked together by strong synth jams. A call to the dance.

“Refresh Rate” takes a different, more abstract direction. An elastic, growling bassline moves throughout, complimented by a shuffling, distorted drum groove that urges your head to bop.

The Midnight Snacc crew change the angles of the title track with their bottom-heavy “Make Time (Acid Dropp remix)”. Soaring strings & sparkling melodies elevate the mood, while the tight bassline and urgent drums make this genuine dancefloor material.

The EP is closed out by Italy’s Broke One, his remix of the title track capturing that 1990’s Reinforced Records essence. Heavy drums, euphoric synths & rugged acid basslines.

The Technology EP is the third release from LDLDN (NTS Radio, Spacebass) on his Natural Frequency Records imprint, following on from the success of ‘Make Time’ in Summer 2021.

This abstract, bass-heavy 4-tracker riffs on the idea that modern technology enhances, dominates and changes our lives. Technology shapes us as much as we shape it.

The EP opens with the title track “Machine Code”, an 808-driven house jam wrapped in LDLDN’s typically layered, lush synth chords. Front foot and futuristic.

“Technology” takes a classic deep house workout and heightens it with an elastic bassline and crystalline piano riffs. A stuttering, pitched down vocal reminds the listener that electronic music has no boundaries.

‘Haptic Feedback’ drops the pace but increases the intensity, with a growling, rolling bass riff punctuated by heavy, doubled up kick drums. 90s-style key stabs push and pull throughout a track that has a weird energy of its own.

The EP closes out with ‘Digital Love’, an elevated love letter to technology. Pure movement, driven by a jacked up bassline and soaring keyboards that speak to digital desires.

The ‘Technology EP‘ will be released on 8th July 2022 via Bandcamp and streaming platforms.

PREMIERE: LDLDN - Haptic Feedback [Natural Frequency Records]

LDLDN is DJ, producer - and most importantly - obsessed with music. 

A host on NTS Radio since 2012, his shows hop between jazz fusion, Detroit techno and anything else that generates a feeling.

His SpaceBass parties and DJ sets at the likes of Erol Alkan’s ‘To The Rhythm’ at XOYO, I Love Acid at Corsica Studios, We Out Here Festival, Lovebox, Tate Modern and Secretsundaze swing easily between dancefloor steppers and more thoughtful, deeper grooves. Movement is key, genres and BPMs - not so much.

Founding Natural Frequency Records has allowed LDLDN to bring all that together - releases that are musically diverse and tap into years of experience raving, collecting and dreaming about music.
Tracks that aim to capture an emotion or idea in a genuine and interesting way.
