Strange Creature EP

Eric Lau, an international music producer and DJ based in London, composed The Waters for Making Waves Sanya (China). Lau created this theme with a pace that would work with the flow of the water. He also wanted to capture both the spirit of the water and the crew. ¨The water can be very serious but can also be very tranquil at the same time. The crew also showed a diversity and spirit that represents a lot of the modern world so I feel the elements in the music represents this fusion¨, says Lau. The flute, played by Olmo Cassibba, added life to the track and creates a subtle Chinese connection. There is also a cameo from ‘Horace’, 22 years old, the youngest crew member of he Dongfeng Race Team.

Jon Phonics and his team of Astral Black merry men are up to no good again. Along with beatsy hip-hop, oozy 808s and melodic trap rhythms have become a real cornerstone of the label's sound. Drae da Skimask taps into the latter on '95 Mindfulness, the next project on the London-via-Glasgow imprint. Our choice of Debut is "CoogiSweater" and boy, is it a joint to accompany a joint. Lose yourself in the drunken hi-hat skitters, icy electric piano chords and infamous Biggie murmurs of "who would ever think that you would spread like mustard?"

Earlier this month PATCHWORK out of Haarlem came down to the Red Bull Studios Amsterdam to join us for our 'Werk Space' project. The young producer invited his @ZenSupremacy label buddy @iamChefred and recorded a gang of new material.

The instrumental version of "So Far" was also birthed during his visit to the studios and was supposed to have singer Danny Cainco from Dallas on vocals.
Sadly he was unable to record the vocals on time due to technical difficulties.

Later this week we will have @Giorgio-Oehlers join us in the studio. He will be the 2nd @DarkerThanWax representative, but best believe you will discover, love and respect many more talented Dutch producers.

Natural Sequence is a Moscow-based collective of seven music creators.
