While listeners around the world continue to play the rich array of tracks on Coloray's debut album Future Static, Atomnation now serves up some tasteful remixes of it by Baril, Sam Goku and Nadia Struiwigh. The album served as a portal to a different world with stylish synths bringing plenty of colour and emotion to the club-ready grooves. Now they are all reworked for different moments on the dance floor but with equally high levels of design.

Baril - one of the main artists of Coloray's Intercept label - flips 'Broken Mirrors' into a scuffed-up groove built on crisp breaks with a faster tempo. Melancholic pads bring a sense of sombreness while the airy, half-pitched vocals add plenty of soul. A perfect piano-laced breakdown builds the energy so that when it drops again hands are sure to go in the air.

Sam Goku's own music was the subject of a fine remix EP late in 2020 and now the Munich-based artist shows off another side with his cosmic take on 'Line Break.' Slivers of synth shimmer and shine while suspensory chords bring more bright light to the tight, twisted drums and bass that take you ever higher.

Sydney-based Dutch artist Nadia Struiwigh offers the final remix of 'Center Of The C#' after establishing her unique sound on labels like on Central Processing Unit, Denovali Records and Nous'klaer Audio. She slowly builds a vibe over seven enthralling minutes, initially with majestic ambient synth work and then with subtle drum rotations that lock you into a state of hypnosis.

All three of these remixes bring a fresh perspective to the still essential originals. On top, a peak time bonus remix from collaborator and friend Eagles & Butterflies is in planning this summer for when the 12" vinyl will hit shelves. Stay in tune for more!

The streets were busy and crowded with people dancing in joyous celebration, carnival season was well underway and the sound of sirens and trumpets echoed loudly in the mid summer air. People had travelled from all over the world to dance with their friends, share a drink with loved ones and party beneath the glow of the moon. In El Rio everything was free, life was easy and liberation was on the cards. In the winter months this place would be quiet and lonely but for now it boomed and banged louder than ever before. 

Kid Simius is set to release a new EP on Jirafa Records, a club focussed, heady fun filled affair complete with a killer remix from Fort Romeau. This one will sounds great on the big systems.

https://soundcloud.com/tunnelvisions1 return to their home label Atomnation for a fourth fantastic release in the last three years. This six track excursion builds on the pair's warm, richly melodic and always hypnotic style with fantastically colourful results.

Tunnelvisions is Emiel van den Dungen and Raynor de Groot. Both artists keep busy with their own solo projects (Milio and Coloray respectively) but continue to find fascinating middle ground when they come together in the studio. 2020 saw them step out on Moscoman's Disco Halal and Solomun's Diynamic, while they have also been remixed to great effect with influential DJs like Dixon and Tale Of Us playing the results. Now, though, they are back on Atomnation with another superb collection of cuts.

The undulating 'Acid Neverland' opens up with its succulent and supple drums overlaid with heavenly chords and glowing pads. Coloray's vocals are then layered in to bring some drive and attitude to this most compelling of tracks. 'King Cobra' is a dubby delight. Its airy hi hats, bulbous bass notes and tripped out melodic motifs all sinking you into a trance.

There is more angst and energy to the malfunctioning melodies and steel-plated drums of 'Mirrored Identities' while 'Waiting For The Morning' is a perfect dreamscape. It's a super widescreen track with deft pads coming in and out of focus, glistening melodies reflecting light and pulsing drums locking you in. 'Private XS' flips the vibe with more drawn out and sinewy synths gurgling and bubbling away as they ride up and down the scale like a slow motion cosmic explosion. Last but not least, 'End of Time' has the most pop hooks and catchy riffs of the lot. They dart about the mix as smeared pads and crunchy, punchy drums encourage you to cut loose.

This is another masterfully cohesive collection of colourful dance floor cuts that take in pop, techno and synth music and skew them the unique lens of Tunnelvisions.
