Well, it's Friday, it must be Bulgarian neo-soul time, right?  It's not every 25-year-old who gets virtuoso producers like Zed Bias, Kaidi Tatham, Mark de Clive-Lowe and Eric Lau jumping at the opportunity to remix them, but then not many 25-year-olds are already TV stars and selling out concert halls as Ruth Koleva is back in Sofia, Bulgaria. Her new remix album runs the gamut from broken beat to turbo D&B, but this mix from Lupe Fiasco / Muhsinah  / Tawiah collaborator Eric Lau is the sunniest, smoothest soul tune and is very effectively floating our boats.

Maybe In The Stars feat. Raiza Biza

«Materialized Moments» is an artistic vision of the relation between space and time. A moment in time, is essentially what reality is to our senses. Niculin Barandun (Visuals) and Natureboy Flako (Sound Design) explore the world of micro- and meso-scale patterns, at a moment in our shared time defined by frames per second and other frequencies laid out on a time line, creating a journey through sound and vision. Dynamic and balance plays an important role in narrating the coexistence of order and chaos throughout the piece.

Although the artists are working with digital means, images of nature in its many forms and shapes will be the basis of all visuals and sounds created. They might be plants, space or a mini cosmos observed through a magnifying glass.

Curiosity is what drives Natureboy Flako and Niculin Barandun most and curiosity is what remains with the viewer throughout the piece. The journey leads through places we’ve known and yet they now become somehow unfamiliar. The scale of our view determines how we perceive the mini cosmos in which we find ourselves. Depending on where you’re standing and in which direction you are looking, you will find many, if not endless layers, of perspectives, that will seem to be a growing world in itself. Frequencies that unfold through stereo images, connected to visual impressions that reflect the never ending loop of life, reflect the constant stream of energy that is only disrupted by looking at «Materialized Moments».
