Producer/emcee, Steve Spiffler, has been on a roll the past couple of years. This month, he teams up with underground legends Planet Asia and Tristate for “Trophy Case,” a super soulful and buttery joint, which boasts both Spiffler’s production and rhyme skills. TriState sets off the three man relay with a 16 that stays glued to the beat like a slalom course. After the sample rocks for a few bars, Spliff steps to the mic dropping bars from his third-eye with raps like, "Flourite on the gold chain and let it cool my chest/ Bitch I’m Chakra Khan, they see my aura beaming through my chest.”  To complete the trifecta, PA Medallions delivers a rewind worthy verse, abound with similes, metaphors that can “communicate with dolphins and whales.”
