This is basically a late afternoon recording of Crows and Jackdaws. I recorded it at Landshut Berg, Landshut, Bavaria, Germany on the top of a hill. It´s a part of Landshut with houses, gardens and orchards - a liminal space between the town and where it slips into the countryside. My back is to the church yard of Heilig Blut looking down towards a road in the valley. There´s a gravel road above me. Mothers are collecting their children from a kindergarten. I like the interaction between the human voices and those of the birds. It´s recorded using two LOM Basic Ucho microphones connected to a Zoom F3 recorder at 32bit. I like the feeling of space in this recording. There´s a lot of other things going on here - traffic, car doors slamming, aircraft, garden work and the church bell.

Recorded with silicone ears with one pair of EM272 capsules inside the ear canal in order to experiment with binaural recordings.

This recording, which was captured in Jan 2023, features a busy countryside morning with the sounds of birds, dogs, chainsaws, small passenger planes, sheep and geese.
