MKH 8020s and LCT 640 TSs (omni mode) in parallel, AB 63 cm. Both pairs dressed only in their respective proprietary standard issue foam windshields. Preamp gain level at 55 dB for both pairs. No processing/modifications to the original sound recordings in post. These are essentially the raw recordings, converted from 96/32 wav to 48/24 flac for uploading here. * Good quality headphones with a flat frequency response highly recommended.

The same rig arrangement as in all the previous parallel recordings. (Whereas the previous samples were from recordings made in a fire escape stairwell, this recording is made within an elevator of the same structure.)

Nuthatches are always fun to watch and they have a rich repertoire of different calls. Most of them can be heard in this recording that starts off with a nuthatch taking a bath in the river and drying itself.

It is apparent that the song of the Mistle Thrush is a favourite for many and not only me. They arrived to Uppsala last week and have started to sing. A difficult bird to record given that it is always on the move and also singing when flying.
