Matt Ess

Matt Ess was born in the Czech Republic. Even as a young was attracted to techno music. when he was 12, his life influenced many contemporary music television. At age 16, begins visiting techno clubs in his city and around . A year later the then ride the big events such as was "Orion Hall" then "Apokalypsa", "Cosmic Trip", "Svojšice" and more. Listening to techno music for him was later little. He understood that the techno world also wants to offer something of himself. Became interested in djing a few years later he started competing in events like dj. His club where starting, was "Raketa" Club in his city. Later he started playing differently after the Czech Republic and abroad. DJing for him did not end, in 2010 he began to make his own techno. The real success for him was in 2012 when label "Contrast Records", his release first album "Resurrection". His techno is very deep dark and he would say, truly massive.

Phyr Records is the new label from Italy's Pyramidal Decode that has featured top artists like Takaaki Itoh, Dimi Angélis, PWCCA, and Oliver Rosemann, since launching in 2024. Now presenting a joint LP release with Oscar Mulero titled 'Il Poema,' this follows four albums already in just three years.

Pyramidal Decode lists prestigious appearances on labels including Jeff Mills' Axis, Oscar Mulero's Warm Up, Bas Mooy's Mord, and Svreca's Semantica, among many other significant techno imprints as he continues to explore his trippy, cerbral sound.

For this DT:Premiere we selected "Virgilio" with it's brooding tension from the throbbing percussion programming. Driving, chopping frequencies and modular accents develop the aesthetic to a wild journey of intensity and contemporary purism.
