The illusive @imperieux ventures into the fantastical world of DJ Koze’s Pampa with three tracks of masterful, genre-bending electronica. 
 
It’s little wonder that the Turkish/Bulgarian native finds himself coming into the orbit of the Hamburg-based label head. DJ Koze has been a long-time supporter of Impérieux’s music, his intrepid DJ sets often finding their most dramatic peaks or existential lows with one of the producer's audacious dancefloor soundscapes.
 
Now Berlin-based, Impérieux’s music draws deeply on the sounds of his heritage, taking inspirations from Bulgarian folklore, twisted and chopped Turkish dialect as well the gritty underground of his new surroundings. 
  
With Fantasmagorii, Impérieux explores his sonic boundaries with techniques inspired by the label-head himself. As a producer he is becoming known for his ability to build fantasy worlds through aural experimentation, creating productions soaked with fragility and emotion. His music brings a full-body listening experience of it’s own, laden with intensity and mystery, and full of opposites. He has the ability to pluck their listeners out of reality, to bend the rules of time and space and defy genres in a way that is reminiscent of Koze’s various bodies of work, and it’s no surprise that this selection of tracks feels right at home in the Pampa fantasy.

What is a Dirty Banana? It’s a tasty cocktail that blends ingredients like rum, Kahlúa and banana liqueur. But who the hell are the Dirty Bananas? The name masks a Viennese duo consisting of DJ Cut Ex (Urbs & Cutex) and Addy-F (3MinutenEi). The two producers dug deep in the crates to create a delicious recipe, incorporating the finest Disco flavors from the 70s & 80s. In a lucky turn of events, six of their cuts made their way to Luv Shack Records a couple of months ago; thus, the Cocktails EP was born.
The EP opens with “No Lie”, a low slung, cheerful synth-funk jam that feels a bit like a lost B-Side from a certain furry Italian edit duo.
“Melody” takes notes from a beloved oddball jazz funk classic, while maintaining the boogie flavor with plenty of machine drums, synth bass and a perfectly quirky lead solo to boot. On “Draft”, the Bananas ramp up the tempo to unleash a short but tasty disco stomper with extra crispy drums. The laid back, percussion heavy disco chugger “Gentle Breeze” comes packed with an extra portion of familiar samples and chopped up drums, while “I’m U” takes a leftfield disco classic, and, in a no-nonsense approach, loops the hell out of it while blending it with a more moody sample.
Lastly, “Fairmax” circles around a jazzy organ melody on top of a
super-dry, yet punchy drum-machine loop. What a shockingly delicious journey!

When we heard the first skits of his new demos we immediately fell in love.
Compuphonic about MY LOVE: ’This track reminds me of a beautiful day in autumn when leaves start falling from trees and the landscape is filled with different colours. It’s a homage to all these great melodic house records I rediscovered when going through my record collection.’

Lately Compuphonic launched his fantastic mixtape series ’Compuphonic Tales’ - a touching mix of all things melodic. 
He also had festival appearances at Pukkelpop and Tomorrowland among others.

His last Exploited releases - such as ’Radio Atlantis’ and ‘The Sun Does Rise’ (nearly 1 million plays on Majestic Casual) - have picked up great support by radio stations and bloggers worldwide.
We are happy Compuphonic took his time off to deliver this new masterpiece. More to follow.

Born in 1983 in Liège, Belgium, Maxime Firket grew up surrounded by music. He studied music theory and classical music at the Academy and did not choose the easy route by opting to study the cello. "A demanding and monodic instrument which forces you to find the right sound and the right note to make yourself heard. My cello background is still useful to me today." As an adolescent, he dreamt of playing in a rock group, but also discovered Kraftwerk, Depeche Mode, Front 242 and Detroit techno. After having created his own studio and put together a few mixes on a Roland Compuphonic synthesiser (yes, that’s where the name comes from...), Maxime soon found himself behind the decks at Dirty Dancing nights in Brussels and recorded his first tracks for Dirty Dancing Recordings. In 2006, his reputation exploded on the dance floor with the groovy "Emotion", produced in collaboration with Tiga and released on his label ‘Turbo’.

Compuphonic’s Sunset (ft. Marques Toliver) reached over 10 000 000 views (and counting) on YouTube with support on BBC RADIO 1 by Annie Mac, Pete Tong & Rob Da Bank.

With releases on labels such as Get Physical, Tiga's Turbo, 20:20 Vision, Systematic and Exploited, Compuphonic has long been regarded by those in the know as one of Europe's top producers and DJs. He has played shows at Pukkelpop, Dour Festival, Eurosonic, SXSW, Sonar Festival, Monegros, & many more.
 Compuphonic’s dedication and elaborateness delivers spontaneous productions of hedonistic house. Natural, open to large spaces, ambitious but always accessible. Handling music as the art form it is. Following the release of his highly acclaimed debut album, On Acid, earlier this year, Berlin artist, Recondite, steps in to provide two deep and dark remixes of Scuba’s ‘The Hope’ for the next Hotflush single. 

The label has long been championing Recondite’s work. The track ‘Backbone’ was a notable highlight of Scuba’s revered DJ Kicks mix before the latter applied his own hand on a full-throttle remix of ‘Jaded’, to close out On Acid. 

Here, Recondite defines both remixes in the form of two journeys taken at opposing times of the day: a late-night drive and an early-morning walk. In both, the energy and aggression of Scuba’s original is drawn increasingly into a more desolate landscape as glacial synth lines bleed over one another into depths lurking far below the planes of convention.

Navid Izadi is a young man who possesses wisdom and natural flair beyond his years. If you think you’ve heard it all, think again, Navid’s musical locker is brimming with influences and inspirations – from the psychedelic funk of the great George Clinton, through to rugged rap legends like Rakim.
