Waiting for the Metro

During a tour of the Institute for Research/Creation In Media Arts and Technologies, Hexagram-Concordia, facilities, I fell in love with the sound of the Jacquard loom. I asked the woman who was doing a demonstration if I could record her weaving and she agreed. It's got a fantastic rhythm!

Les Hommes Rapaillés - La route que nous suivons

I am lover of sound and music, but not necessarily The Sound of Music (I'm more of a Mary Poppins kind of gal).  Hip Hop and rap that's where my heart's at, but I dig indie, pop, house, techno, afrobeat, Motown, funk, classical (some), and all kinds of music, old and new, too.

I also enjoy recording every day sounds - the hum of the fridge, the swish of leaves on the pavement, distant voices, the metro pulling into the station, and more - and using them in interesting ways.
