Returning from abstraction on last album to words and meanings, they juxtapose contemporary techno-pop electronic styles with activist utterances and ironic cynicism, queering both genres and languages in the process. On TURBO, Warrego Valles boldly present an authentic and highly potent fusion of pop and progressive sensibilities, ranging from avant-hyperpop with echoes of happy hardcore to trap, electroclash, and Balkan turbo-folk vibes. This masterfully produced sonic package sits firmly between underground club culture and radio-friendly wake-up calls.
