Recently got back in touch with my love for Modeselektor, Apparat, and their combined project, Moderat. The dudes are musical geniuses in their own right, but together they make some of the most beautiful electronic music I've ever heard. I chose 'A New Error' to remix, partially because it may just be my favorite of theirs, though it's hard to say, but also because I felt it would also work best with my sound. Hopefully I did these guys' work some justice. Enjoy.

Solid Steel in association with Serato (8th May) This week we welcome Rob Booth for a special Houndstooth label mix and it's a return for Luke Vibert on Solid Steel with a crazy mash-up mix. Rob Booth steps up in Hour 1 with a mix celebrating 2 years of the excellent Houndstooth record label, where he heads up A & R and he also runs the well respected Electronic explorations podcast. Another Falty DL Solid Steel intro starts the show and Rob had this to say about his mix;
“I wanted to present the mix in two parts, the Solid Steel way. The 1st half showcases repertoire primarily from the 1st eighteen months, no better way than starting with our inaugural record, the Present Tense 12” by Call Super, such an exciting artist culminating with his recent critically acclaimed debut album. Of course I also had to include a few tracks from the Soul Music LP, Paul Woolford’s Special Request moniker, especially the Hackney Parrot VIP, coupled with the polished jungle/techno experimentalism of Akkord and the 160bpm mosaic of Throwing Snow.
As the mix enters the 2nd half the emphasis moves to our latest signings, Berlin based Marquis Hawkes, Norwegian duo Soft as Snow and LA duo 18+, who’ve kept us busy this past year with the mix concluding with Jassy Graz on vocals, a personal favourite, was so good to see Ross and Jassy invited to Maida Vale LIVE for Radio 1. I can’t stress enough the privilege of being on SS, I’ve been archiving these shows for so long now”

Danny Oliviera joins the Keep Thinking artist roster for a Lebanese inspired EP of dynamic proportions, following a recent shift from his 'DNYO' moniker.

‘Touch The Sky' is undeniably some of Danny's finest work to date. Feeling, chug, groove, energy and addiction are just some of the words that have been chosen to describe this creative piece that was crafted after Danny's trip up the Faraya Mountains. There's really no point filling up the sleeve notes with blurb here…. This is an absolute corker.

Complimenting this, second track 'Territory Beyond' draws a classic vibe of synth work which is reminiscent of Leftfield in the 90's, but with a twist of acidic drive massaged into the groove to let the pace run steady. A superbly crafted track here, with atmospheric devoir to boot.

My time in Kassel was awesome. Met wonderful people and had a great Night. This is one of my darker & deeper sides. Played for about 3-4 hrs but only recorded 1h. I hope you enjoyed it.
