I loved this song back in high school. I know this cover does not do it justice, but I think its alright for only using a Squire Strat and Garageband.

This is one of the first worship songs I learned to play on guitar. Its so simple but it's message is powerful. I hope this brings you closer to God and reminds you that he is present in the good and the bad.

F.U.N. Song (Spongebob Squarepants Punk Cover)

The first time I ever played this song was at the Adventure Serve Ministries base camp last summer. I was part of the worship team as well as a trip leader. The worship director at the time was my friend Emily and she decided we should play it for Sunday Worship. I didn't know at the time that this song would become one of my favorites after that day. Sunday came right after a very stressful trip for me and there was another trip getting ready to start. I was still excited to be running trips at ASM, but I was also very drained, emotionally and physically. When we played this song though, and as I sang it's lyrics, I could feel God reenergizing me. All I had to do was look at the nature around me and be reminded of God's beauty, power, and majesty. All of my pain and stress just melted away. I don't think that has ever happened to me like that before. It makes me cry sometimes just thinking about it. I feel this way every time I play this song. 

We get drained physically and emotionally all the time, but God is bigger than that. People have proved time and time again that we don't just draw our strength from food, water, and sleep. Our spirit gives us true strength, and God is the only one who can fully feed our spirits.

Meet Jonah. He is my roommate's dog. I am taking care of him for a few months while my roommate is out of the country. 

I made this song for a couple of reasons. 
Reason 1: I love Weezer. 
Reason 2: So my roommate can feel a little closer to his dog (whom he loves and misses very much). 
Reason 3: I got a new bass and I wanted to record with it.
