"The Cardiac Rhythm" is a groundbreaking work of Biometric Electronic music, where the rhythm itself is born from the vital signs of life. The kick drum is a synthesized human heartbeat, the atmosphere is woven from the hiss of an oxygen mask, and the tension is built from the charge of a defibrillator. Each of the 10 tracks uses a synthesized EKG as its core, creating a cinematic soundscape that is both intensely human and clinically precise.

Embark on a 10-track journey that tells the story of a single shift. The album's narrative arc moves from the calm, steady beat of "First Watch" to the urgent, high-BPM drive of "Code Three" and the dramatic, arrhythmic climax of "Asystole," before finally finding reflection and resolution in "End of Watch." It is a complete story told not with words, but with the very pulse of life itself.

From composer and active 911 Telecommunicator Chris Manning, "The Cardiac Rhythm" is a tribute forged from direct personal experience. This album is dedicated to the paramedics, EMTs, and all EMS professionals of the Thin White Line; the calm in the chaos, the steady hands, and the unwavering voices on the other end of the line.

As the head of Embassy 9 Recordings, NBC9 has created a home for his own output as well as a space for collaborators to explore forward thinking drum and bass. His productions are designed with a dual purpose: to resonate in personal listening settings and to hit with power on dancefloors.

Before his return to drum and bass, NBC9 built an underground reputation under the name Influenza in the early 2000s nu skool breakbeat scene. Releases on Pure Funk, Illeven Eleven, Sponge, and Epidemic reached audiences across North America and the UK, with his music played in iconic venues such as Fabric London.

Two decades on, NBC9 stands with more clarity and intent than ever, blending experience with innovation to drive a sound that continues to evolve.
