WAIFU is a queer party in Tokyo that aims to be an intimate, safer space designed to be enjoyed by all kinds of open-minded people, regardless of gender, sexuality, race or age.Kyoto-based Chanaz has picked up a solid following in the Kyoto scene with her wonky house selections. She is a core member of the PAL Sounds collective, a hotly-tipped labeland club night alongside the likes of E.O.U. and Stones Taro.

1994年、東京生まれ。2017年1月より、世界中から日本へと伝わる先鋭的なエレクトロニックミュージックを独自の視点で紹介するパーティー『解体新書』を共同主宰し、レジデントDJを務めている。Romyはこの『解体新書』における、国内外の様々な世代のアーティストないしユニークなサウンドをひとつの空間と時間へと折衷させていくキュレーション行為を通じて、数多の先進的な精神に触れ、それを自身のDJスタイルへと還元している。そして、電子音楽の内包する伝統と革新を織り交ぜながら、都市から楽園を望むような、はたまた調和と混沌を瞬時に描き出すような、文脈を超えたミックスに挑み続けている。その果敢な姿勢はDJとパーティーだけに留まらず、広義的かつ先鋭的なDJツールとなり得る音楽をリリースするレーベル〈KTSNS〉を2021年6月に始動し、個人としても『解体新書』としても更なる活動の幅を拡げている。

Born in 1994, based on Tokyo. He organizes "解体新書 (Kaitai-Shinsho)“ that introducing electronic music from worldwide underground to Japan with its own perspective.
'Kaitai-Shinsho' has continued to develop in scale and depth unparalleled in the Tokyo scene, moving from Saloon to WWWβ to Contact Tokyo while featuring various artists from Japan and abroad, for example Giant Swan, Randomer, Rhyw, Simo Cell, Call Super, Pangaea, Peverelist, Moritz von Oswald, Laurel Halo, Leon Vynehall, Danielle, JASSS, MCMLXXXV, Nathan Micay, Yu Su, Tolouse Low Trax, Imre Kiss, S Olbricht, Bartellow, EYE (Boredoms), Haruka, DJ Shufflemaster, Compuma, AKIRAM EN, Mars89 etc...
And from June 2021, he started the label "KTSNS” that release DJ tools in a broad and radical sense. He is expanding the scope of his activities based on his own platform.
He works as a writer / editor / journalist under his real name Hiromi Matsubara, and he act as chief editor of "Higher Frequency" that long-established Japanese electronic music media. He use his experiences as a writer / journalist / organizer in contact with dance music for track selection as a DJ, with a theme of tradition and innovation, urban and paradise, harmony and chaos, he will face a mix that goes beyond the boundaries of the context with a broad perspective.

Description:
'WC Heritage' is the first output from the freshly hatched, Sanka, label by Gonno (a stalwart DJ and producer in Japan's contemporary Techno and House scene for well over two decades). This release compiles treasured retrospective tracks (originally released in 2000s) from Japan's "WC Recordings" - the label that released Gonno's debut album in 2005.
WC Recordings (who believed strongly in its “Japanese anarchy techno" stance), released numerous digital EPs and CD albums from 2004 - 2009 making this the first time any of this material is available on vinyl.
The LP features tracks from WC's owner, Salmon, who sadly passed away in 2011.  Also featured are Baiyon, the duo 'Side B,  Syuji Wada (aka DJ Wada, who started his career in the mid 1980s also known for being a member of Co-fusion), DSKE (one of the first Japanese DJs to play at Panorama Bar , Berlin), Gonno, as well as other remarkable talents who dedicated themselves to the Japan underground dance music scene in the 2000s. 
The nine unique tracks stand up strong in 2024 - all with an edge, 'glitcy-ness', and funny intensity.  These snapshots from this particular moment in time are a perfect way to begin understanding what was happening in the wild Japan underground dance music scene of the 2000s. A period of immense creativity which has never really been exposed to the outside world.
