NCEA Staff and a former student joined together to play through  some Christmas tunes for our primary students whilst they enjoyed their Christmas lunch!

5.12.23 - William Leech Christmas Lunch Band

Volunteers from the Jayess Newbiggin Brass Band and the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers came together with NCEA instrumental tutors to provide entertainment for the Year 3 Miners Picnic.

3.7.24 Year 3 Miners Picnic - Community Band - The Can Can

On Friday 13th December 2024, year 6 instrumentalists came together for a days worth of instrumental tuition. 

During this 'Play Day' they were taught 4 christmas pieces, which they performed in an evening concert with the Jayess Newbiggin Brass Band. The pupils had an amazing day, and thoroughly enjoyed the evening concert.

13.12.24 - A Merry Little Christmas Concert - Good King Wenceslas

Staff and students who have previously attended our NCEAT primary schools came together to perform Christmas music for our pupils. It was lovely to see how our youngsters have grown in to young adults who still have a love for practical music making.
Children loved listening to traditional and modern Christmas music whilst they ate!

The children enjoyed listening to 'The Hut on Staffin Island' performed by Mrs Glanville on violin, Mrs Henderson on flute, Dr Porter on guitar and Mr Kennedy on bodhran.

At the Northumberland Church of England Academy Trust, we believe it is important for our pupils to see the joy music can bring throughout your whole life. Staff and members of the local community regularly have the opportunity to join in with musical performances, both for our pupils and for our own wellbeing and professional development.
