As with the last one this consists of mostly music that has been lost to the ether over the years. this mix specifically come from early 2022 and contains a heaps of early music from my collections I've lost over the years.

Oh my days. Dragon Dreaming 2024 was an absolute dream. That location. The music. The people. Friends, new and old. What a refresh!
The past year has been a whirlwind of pure magic, challenges and new experiences, and somehow, it feels like all roads led straight to Dragon. 🐲 

A weekend to reflect and enjoy the disconnect from the "real world" and connect with the Dragon fam. Truly overjoyed and my soul is filled to the brim with gooey goodness.

A massive thank you to Cam Volkeine and the team at Dragon for having me back this year. It was an absolute belter of a party and an absolute pleasure to spin tunes on the Fire Stage at 1am on Saturday. The crowd had such an infectious energy, it was electric. On a massive high from that.

Big shoutout to Heath, Boony, and the crew at HB Sound & Lighting for that epic rig. Always a bloody good time blasting tunes through your system. 

Much love to everyone I crossed paths with over the weekend. This festival gives me life, and each time I return, it truly feels like home. 🙏 ❤️

I had the pleasure of trying something a little different to my usual violence at Dua Anahata to celebrate the birthdays of my wife and brother in law. As I was playing late in the afternoon and through what turned out to be a stunning sunset, I decided to show my softer side and curate a soulful and melodic journey for your aural pleasure.

Shoutout to Eryn and Sam for getting older, and to all of the DJs, performers and legends who attended and lent a helping hand over the course of the weekend. It was such a heart-warming and nourishing weekend and it wouldn't have been possible without each and every one of you. Also, a massive shout out to Ian and Helen, the owners of the property and custodians of the land, thank you for being so welcoming and allowing us to party in a place that we all hold close to our hearts.

Lenni is a co-founder of Eclectic Selectas, a collective dedicated to creating inclusive, music-driven spaces that foster community, connection, and creativity. She is also an active member of CBR Bass Babes, supporting and uplifting women and gender-diverse artists within the local music scene.

FOREST LIFE FESTIVAL (NSW) II 9AM - 10.30AM 22/06/2025 II 1.5 HR BASS SET

DJ Goanna has spent the last decade building community through music, connection, and culture on dancefloors across the country. Born on Wiradjuri country and now based between Wadawurrung and Awabakal lands, he's the heartbeat behind SHED: - an ever-evolving space for sound and gathering, with parties spanning from Eora to Naarm.

As founder and resident of SHED: Goanna's played and hosted in a range of underground settings including Church of Techno, Bizarro, Twisted Audio, Sleeper Cell, Miscellania, and Club 77. He's also taken his sound to open-air settings at Dragon Dreaming, Subsonic, Freerange Gathering and Realm Riparia, and featured on radio shows for FBi and Koori Radio.

Goanna's sets move between techy rollers, deep dubstep, leftfield oddities, psytrance, techno and drum and bass - always with an ear for storytelling and space. He's supported the likes of Strategy, Halogenix, DJ Hybrid, Boris, Goth Trad, Plastician, Nikki Nair, Sister Zo, Pariah, and Matrixxman, with each set delivered as a conversation between the sound system and the dancefloor.

Introducing... Guest Mix #132 DJ Goanna

Hailing from Aotearoa (New Zealand) and now based in Naarm (Melbourne, AU), UP2 is quietly making noise in the underground bass scene. Known for gritty selections and heavy low-end pressure, his sets cut deep - blurring the lines between 140, dubstep, trap, and raw emotion.

He got his start in Aotearoa's underage rave scene, where one night of bass to the chest sealed the deal. No formal training - just years of obsession, self-teaching, and staying up too late mixing tunes since 2015.

After stepping back into the spotlight via YourShot in 2024, he's been steadily building momentum - playing with crews like Outtapokket, Hyperbloom, Hi-Octane, House of FOB, and Beatdown - bringing weight, movement, and no-frills energy every time he gets behind the decks.

At the heart of it, UP2 is focused on growing as an artist and contributing meaningfully to the community that shaped him - adding his voice to Naarm's rich and evolving bass culture.

This was my first set at Dua Anhata (Sam & Eryn's joint 40th Bday Doof Bash). It was so much fun putting together a fun, classic, old school in some aspects, Bass house set with a sprinkle of some 140 to switch it up. 

Peak daytime style with all the energy. Thoroughly enjoyed this one and brought me back to my roots in a few ways.
