NCT 127 is the second sub-unit and Seoul-based unit of the South Korean boy group NCT. The unit debuted on July 7, 2016, with their first extended play ‘NCT #127.’ Their name is a combination of the acronym for Neo Culture Technology and the number 127, which represents the longitudinal coordinate of Seoul. The group consists of nine members, three of whom speak fluent English. 

With millions of social media followers and a fanbase that won’t quit, Seoul-based global powerhouse NCT  127,  has  shaken  up  the  K-Pop world  since  their  2016  arrival  with  mega-hit “Fire Truck” with their unique and conceptually-progressive artistry. They were Billboard’s first   K-Pop act   to   hit   No. 1   on   the   Emerging   Artist Chart, Rolling Stone’s 2018 “K-Pop Artist to Watch,” and declared to be “leading the next generation of K-Pop” by the LA Times. Each with their own playful, charismatic personalities, NCT 127 (which includes several fluent English-speaking members from Korea, China, Canada,  Japan  and  the  U.S.)  has  found  a  unique  way  to  connect  with  their  growing  fanbase  outside  of  their  Seoul  home. Charting above world’s biggest artists including Beyonce, Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez on Billboard’s Social 50, the talented group of multi-lingual artists deliver more of an experience than just a performance every time they hit the stage. Known for mixing genres, NCT 127 combines sounds in pop, R&B, hip-hop and Latin trap.
