The Unknown Bio

The Unknown formed in 2010 and is fronted by Tim Myers who is a multi-instrumentalist (guitar, keys, drums, bass).  The Unknown's music has been featured in several movies, TV shows, and films .  The Unknown also features vocals from Carah Faye of Shiny Toy Guns and Dave Bassett (Shinedown, Skillet) contributes additional guitars, bass and drums and is co-writer of "Are You Ready For Me?" "Come & Get It" and "We're Back.  Michael Miley and Chase Duddy also contribute with additional drums.  

With haunting vocals, rock instrumentation, synthesisers and epic string orchestration, The Unknown is truely a unique band.  The Unknown has quickly become an underground success with major synchs in film and television.  The band was featured in a major commercial in England for Vodafone with the song "Bang Bang Boom" and in the US the band made their debut in the Ron Howard/Vince Vaughn film "The Dilemma" gaining thousands of downloads on the film's soundtrack with their song "Ready, Aim Fire."  The band has a song featured in an ABC promo and the video game "Need For Speed 12."  The stand out single "Battle Line" features a hypnotic vocal from Carah Faye, lead singer of Shiny Toy Guns, and a bombastic chorus vocal by lead vocalist Tim Myers, former member of OneRepublic.  The two singers went to the same high school but never met, meeting years later through a mutual friend.  When they began working together they asked about each other's upbringing and to their shock they went to the same school and had many similar friends but never crossed paths.   The band began recording songs in 2010 in Los Angeles with producers Tom Meredith and Mark Maxwell.  The string orchestration being key to the sound was composed by Tim Myers and performed by Stevie Blacke (Weezer, The Kooks, Alice In Chains, P!nk).   The music and lyrics are mostly all composed by lead singer Tim Myers.  The band is planning a new tour for their debut album in 2013.

NDT (No Dead Time) productions, are a music production team working with musicians, bands, and singer songwriters, with the aim to take their songs from the rehearsal room, to a fully polished finished mix.
We work under the philosphy, that studio time is expensive, and precious and its not something to be wasted, thats why we pride ourselves on working with a band through a high level of pre-production. We want the bands to be fully prepared when they enter the studio, so no time is wasted while recording.
