thanks for reminding me why I fell in love with house music 

It sure has been a 'minute' hasn't it? I'm not going to bore you with the details of what happened 6 months ago but let's just say I am very lucky to be alive and to still be here doing what I love. I missed music so much. It has been one of the main things (besides my angelic friends) that has helped me heal from my injuries. 

So I'm back! New fresh mixes will be coming soon as I get back into it (I have some really good gigs lined up) but in the meantime I figured I would thank all the people that have contacted and being patiently waiting for me by posting "The Lost Tapes" which is going to be a series of some of my old mixes that some how got lost. This music is timeless and I know that if you listen to The NDYD Radio Show you will enjoy these. These are my roots and the reason why I fell in love with music.

So hopefully this will hold you up until I get new episodes up which will be very soon. All I can say is THANK YOU for all the support that you guys have given me over the years and especially over the lat few months.

Ricardo Torres, a West Coast DJ, is known for blending deep, soulful house and disco with a smooth, sultry West Coast vibe. His music is crafted for true dance music enthusiasts, delivering uplifting, groovy, and sexy experiences rooted in the underground scene.

Ricardo’s DJ journey began in 1987 at a college radio station in Montreal, Canada, where he initially spun industrial electronic music. By 1988, he was introduced to Chicago House and was captivated by its fresh energy, changing his musical direction. In 1995, he moved to Los Angeles, where the city’s sun-drenched, soulful vibe and influences from DJs like Jay-J, Marques Wyatt, Julius Papp, Mark Farina, and Miguel Migs drew him toward the deeper West Coast sound.

In 2000, Ricardo pioneered sharing his mixes online, a bold and innovative step that garnered him international recognition. This exposure led to global performances and opportunities, while he also became a syndicated radio host on satellite and online platforms.

Around 2016 Ricardo partnered with Germany’s Nu Disco Your Disco (NDYD), a leading advocate for the Nu Disco genre. Their collaboration birthed the NDYD Radio Show, which Ricardo hosts weekly, showcasing top global talent and steadily growing a loyal listener base. For Ricardo, Nu Disco offers a modern bridge for the soulful West Coast vibe to resonate with newer generations.

While underground music trends have evolved over the decades, Ricardo’s passion remains unwavering: playing music that inspires people to get up, dance, and celebrate the timeless groove of house music.
