Welcome back to MY HOUSE.

I do mean HOUSE as we took a downtempo detour last week but it's always nice to raise the tempo again and come back to familiar grounds. I usually showcase the latest newest underground releases that are floating around but this time I did something different. My digital crate has over 10K tracks so why not revisit some of the tracks and remixes from the last 10 - 15 years that, in my opinion, were underrated and are still relevant. These tracks are not 'classics' but timeless still. If you've never heard one them you might think it's new. Though, there are a few tracks from artists like Blaze, Sandy Rivera, Robert Owens, and others that would def fall in the classics category. I should really dig deeper more often in that crate as all these tracks are still so fresh.

Ricardo Torres, a West Coast DJ, is known for blending deep, soulful house and disco with a smooth, sultry West Coast vibe. His music is crafted for true dance music enthusiasts, delivering uplifting, groovy, and sexy experiences rooted in the underground scene.

Ricardo’s DJ journey began in 1987 at a college radio station in Montreal, Canada, where he initially spun industrial electronic music. By 1988, he was introduced to Chicago House and was captivated by its fresh energy, changing his musical direction. In 1995, he moved to Los Angeles, where the city’s sun-drenched, soulful vibe and influences from DJs like Jay-J, Marques Wyatt, Julius Papp, Mark Farina, and Miguel Migs drew him toward the deeper West Coast sound.

In 2000, Ricardo pioneered sharing his mixes online, a bold and innovative step that garnered him international recognition. This exposure led to global performances and opportunities, while he also became a syndicated radio host on satellite and online platforms.

Around 2016 Ricardo partnered with Germany’s Nu Disco Your Disco (NDYD), a leading advocate for the Nu Disco genre. Their collaboration birthed the NDYD Radio Show, which Ricardo hosts weekly, showcasing top global talent and steadily growing a loyal listener base. For Ricardo, Nu Disco offers a modern bridge for the soulful West Coast vibe to resonate with newer generations.

While underground music trends have evolved over the decades, Ricardo’s passion remains unwavering: playing music that inspires people to get up, dance, and celebrate the timeless groove of house music.
