One of my fav Pete Rock tracks. I remember copping this album back in 2006.

Welcome to a new episode  of the NDYD Radio Show. Did you guys missed me? I skipped an episode last week as we are rolling out new products at work and that is where all my attention has been.

To make it up to you guys I did, as requested by listeners, a new Mushroom Yacht episode. I didn't realize I only had made two of this popular series. Volume 3 of this new Mushroom Yacht clocks in at two and half hours of jazzy underground Hip Hop that rarely goes over 100 BPM. I actually played a lot of that sweet underground Hip Hop from the early 90s by artists like LL Cool J. Tribe Called Quest, Grand Puba, Black Sheep, 2Pac, Pete Rock and many more artists that were part of my youth. Hope you will enjoy it as much as I did recording it.

Ricardo Torres is a West Coast DJ whose sound blends deep, soulful house and disco with the smooth, sun-kissed energy of Los Angeles. His mixes are crafted for true dance floor devotees—uplifting, groovy, and deeply rooted in the underground.

Ricardo began his DJ journey in 1987 at a college radio station in Montreal, later discovering Chicago House and falling in love with its raw emotion and rhythm. An early pioneer of online mix sharing in 2000, Ricardo quickly gained international recognition, leading to global performances and radio syndication. In 2016, he partnered with Germany’s Nu Disco Your Disco (NDYD) to launch the NDYD Radio Show, a weekly showcase of modern Nu Disco and soulful house that continues to attract a devoted worldwide audience.

Across decades and evolving trends, Ricardo’s mission remains the same: to share music that uplifts, connects, and celebrates the enduring groove of house.
