Made using Doepfer a100 system controlled by hands and feet, with additional midi sequencing.

Drums Korg ER1 and  tip tops 808 snare and kick clones sequenced with an a190-1.

The envelope of the noise(s) was synchronised to the midi clock and modulated using logic x's new midi fx (lfo) sent to cv2 of the a190-1.

Timing goes way out at one point, not sure why, but I kind of like when things like that happen!

Also used an ehx electric mistress and a holy grail.

A third test of the Harmonic Engine pcb by circuit benders.co.uk

Three voices; organ, high hat and kick, all put through the HE module and panned slightly left and right.

I added bits of EQ and compression to preserve my monitors (!) but wanted to keep it as raw as possible so it can still serve as a kind of demo.

Repetitive-looping-sample-head-music made with a eurorack.

Basically I pressed record on a late night session. Sorry about the high freq whine, I forgot to use the ground loop adapter with my BSP.

Both tracks on the Ayside CDR  were made by recording sounds using a Koma labs field kit. This audio was then arranged and mixed in Logic Pro. Sequencing was done with side chaining, cutting loops and I also made a couple of EXS24 instruments. Thanks for listening!

I turned on some machines and ended up making this sketch of a track...

Main percussive element is from a Korg ER1 processing audio from Home made oscillators. Bass is from Arturia Microbrute. Pads are stacked passes from a Waldorf Streichfett and Arturia's Solina. Kick drum is a vanilla Logic EXS sample.

Time With MT

Many thanks to Soma for the competition, which gave me a chance to grow closer to their machines, without physically using them... I was particularly draw to ETHER and only used its samples for my piece.

It was originally going to be called Ethereal, because my intention was to take ETHER’s sounds and turn them into something soaring and dreamlike. But as I began to work I found I wanted to stay true to the source material as possible, and bring out the flavour of the recordings, rather than manipulate them into something they were not. Thanks again to SOMA... I thoroughly enjoyed it, and hope folk enjoy listening to my track.
