A regular on labels like Exploited, Armada Deep and WHATIPLAY, Dayne S first appeared on Kittball in a collaboration alongside Tapesh back in 2012 before returning with a track on Kittball Konspiracy in 2016. ‘Time’ is his first full release on the imprint and is exemplary of why the Berlin based artist is in such high demand, both as a producer as well as a DJ, with appearances spanning Ibiza, Amsterdam, Istanbul and Venice.
‘Time’ is deep and serene from the off courtesy of scintillating synths, intricate melodies and a sultry bassline. ‘Fluegel’ then follows a comparably euphoric aesthetic whilst incorporating infectious breaks, piercing piano keys and soaring pads. Together both tracks are destined to light up dancefloors time and time again.

All aboard the ‘Ark’: Two by two, four by four, whatever… Whichever way you want to board, the doors of this great vessel are open and Monaberry bossmen Super Flu are the proud captains.

Their first full voyage of the year, ‘Ark’ is a stately piece of techno noir theatre designed to wrestle the choppiest of dancefloor seas. A multi-layered narrative laced with crispy arpeggios and strange otherworldly talkbox textures, it’s an oceanic titan that ploughs through the heaviest of elements with grace and majesty.

‘Doppt’ takes us to the next waymark on the map. Gently rhythmic from the moment its first shakers kiss your ears, we’re soon satiated with tightly plucked percussive elements, subtle humanised textures and a sense of momentum that’s tightly coiled with suspense and drama in a way that only Super Flu know how.

Finally our feet touch terra firma with the mysterious afro house maverick Hyenah as he provides an earthy remix stampede. Flexing between African rhythms, powerful 4/4s and a tantalising breakdown salvo, it’s yet another sterling revision from the masked beast… And another exceptional Monaberry trip from the one and only Super Flu. Premiere: Darin Epsilon - Midgard (Sebastien Leger Remix) [Warung Recordings]

Drumcode has become a label synonymous with some of the most-cutting edge and forward-thinking techno over the last 20 years. Their artists include both emerging and established names, and one of those well recognised is Enrico Sangiuliano. Now announcing the very first concept album of his career.

The prolific Italian producer has been catapulted into the limelight after the runaway success of his past releases, and now Biomorph is born. 

A very special concept album designed to take the listener on a journey of evolution. A musical adaptation describing how biological and technological advances over numerous generations of time have all started from the same first step in our own biological journey.

Divided into 4 parts, Organisms opens with atmospheric tones, gradually blending complex textures and timbres to begin the evolutional process. The beginning of this section combines full sounding arrangements before stripping it all back to basics. From here it dissolves into the atmosphere. Organisms then progresses into a break-beat influenced, down tempo track using synths to add complexity to the straight, broken rhythms.

Galactic, futuristic elements are found in both tracks in Cosmic Forces. Upbeat, groovy, electronic synths resonate, before ‘Hidden T’ brings the tension to get things pumped up with stratospheric swirls and twirls to lay down one of the most mind meltingly deep drops.

Metamorphosis is mysterious, its opening beat is a deep and piercing tone that sends the listener into a sensory awareness of their surroundings before breaking into a fully charged, techno track, with Enrico’s trademark sounds and textures.

All evolution has an ending.

Two Probabilities shows the positive, starting out evocative and emotional, with a gentle harmony, gazing towards a ‘New Dawn’. On the other side of the spectrum lies the negative. This is influenced with a rhythm that articulates the beat of death, mathematical, cold and metallic in texture, it shows the unsustainability of its nature, with a hectic, anxious break beat influenced ending.

The digital version also features a bonus track; 'A Further Existence'.

Mixmag set aficionados will recognize this huge, otherworldly tune from Pleasurekraft's recent Lab LA session. Belgium duo Joyhauser have brought forth 'Galaxy Phase' which will be included on an upcoming Kraftek collection, the second in Pleasurekraft's 'Monolith' series. Los Angeles based DJ and producer Evelynka delivers the outstanding Sin EP, marking her Monog Records debut. A classically trained artist, her influences run deep and wide. In her younger years she delved into the brooding melancholic classics before she got caught up in the electronic music world in later years. She found herself embroiled in the European underground house scene for a number of years where she immersed herself in music, gaining experience and making memories. In 2013 she returned to the USA and began her career as a DJ, playing gigs in Boston before she got the urge to start producing her own sounds. Several releases on quality labels followed, which forged her a solid rep on the scene. She is also known as a singer and here she lends her sultry tones on vocals which really enhances the sound, giving it a unique flavour. Great to have her on board at Monog.

First up we have the smooth, sultry vibes of Love which are carried along on a bed of tight beats and soulful grooves. On the low end we find a deep probing bassline which saunters through the sound accompanied by subtle chord stabs and soft melodies. Rich pads grace the background adding depth and texture while the vocal melts into the groove and ultimately into your soul. A beautiful slice that will not disappoint.
