The "Summer Soulstice" is a big festival of Soul/Funk/Disco/Soulful House and relative genres that takes place in London every year, and which purpose is to raise money to help fight cancer. For this 7th edition, I've created a special rework in memories of Andy Weekes, along with committee member Jester Groove and the rest of the "Summer Soulstice" Crew.

Story :
"In 2006 a dear friend of ours & one of Barnet’s favourite sons, died of cancer in the USA where he had lived for many years. To pay our tribute to a much missed friend & to keep his memory alive, the family & a group of his nearest & dearest, decided to hold a special annual get-together for local friends & an extended family of fellow soul enthusiasts @ a venue close to his heart…"

Act Like You Know (CBS ReWork)

Hi Music Lovers,
While DJing for private parties these dayz at the Cannes Film Festival,  I wanted to calm down a little bit the BPM, and come back to a Sexy kind of slow jam...
The track that I chose "La Décadence" was originally recorded in 1971 by Serge Gainsbourg with the participation of Jane Birkin, and it includes a bunch of very talented musicians such as English Musician Library composer Alan Parker on guitar... 
You will recognize the same kind of vibe that already appeared on Mister Gainsbourg's previous hit "Je T'aime Moi Non Plus" in 1969...
It's a Love song, on which I wanted to enhance the kinda sexy striptease dance flavor that you could imagine...
I have worked on re-creating a new Drum &amp; Bass duo with some extra spices, and of course a nice highlight on Alan Parker's guitar riffs...

Italy's Samosa Records come correct once again with another clutch of tasty edits of 'Funk Purpose Vol. 1', and this purple-flavoured rework from Shit Hot Soundsystem is particularly useful. The English producer is a fast-rising name on the edits scene, and with cuts like this you can easily see why.
