Medha is a Leipzig based Dj and promoter as a member of the PVC collective. Since the end of 2021 she is the co-host of the well-known event series aequalis at Ifz. Her passion for technoid music is shaped by her constant search for inspiration and new tracks, which she brings together in her mixes with a mixture of intuition and thought. Influenced by the Berlin and Leipzig culture and club scene, she navigates through an array of techno genres, transitioning from hypnotic and mellow rhythms to atmospheric or groovy. Her sound is characterised by concise basslines and rougher elements on the one hand, but also by deep and driving rhythms and repetitive sounds. Over the last years, she has played in clubs such as Ifz Leipzig, Tresor Berlin, ://about blank, Kalif Storch or Siroco club Madrid.

Exponent of a sound both intrinsically rugged yet layered to mind-altering effect, the British producer has been dishing out unstoppable slices of hi-velocity techno laced with a signature stripped-back, psychedelic edge. This new RYC podcast doesn’t veer off from such a direction and we’re graced with a two-hour mind trip boasting both bass-driven warehouse impact and an elegantly-woven tapestry of abrasive grooves, leaning by turn towards atmospheric elation and on other occasions pushing in the direction of utter fibrous, steel-coated industrial pound. A new week gives us a new opportunity to dive into our past editions of UNFOLD. Today, we bring you Rorschack’s (@rorsch-ack_closer) set from Edition LXXXVIII, coming just as the sun set in our Main Room.

Showcasing the CLOSER founder’s affection for the deep, this genre-defying set from the Italian artist fused elements of fast-future techno and hypnotic psytrance into something unmistakably his own.

First shared with those in attendance last December, this set can now be brought to the world this morning.

Deep x Heights 42 - Petra Yelda

The series are back after some much needed vacay and next one up is Petra Yelda, an interersting artist who we got familiar with in Gothenburg just some time ago. 
In a dark and sweaty warehouse we were lucky to catch her playing, she gave us this knockout closing set, the one where you cannat stop danceing not even for toilet breaky. She created this magical, explosive vibe and the closing included everything one wish for; the selection of tracks, flow and dynamic mixing and the connection with the floor, it was gold!
We are therefore very happy and proud to present her mix in the series!

Bio:
Petra Yelda is a Swedish techno DJ and producer with roots from Middle East. By experiencing dancefloors across Europe, she quickly grew a deeper music interest. With a distinctive style that blends driving hypnotic rhythms, Petra has earned respect locally and has made a name for herself within the underground scene in Gothenburg.

Her artistic journey began as a DJ in underground clubs in Gothenburg, where she co-founded collectives such as Nycto and later Xtnd’d/Razor.

This year has led her to take further steps in Europe by playing in Denmark, Germany and Italy. She has landed a residency at the respected record label OECUS and is also resident for Gothenburg collective STRECK.
