Simon Bacheras aka @Breakoacoustique is a 26-year-old French multidisciplinary artist. Organist, composing music is an obvious choice for this young prodigy and insatiable producer. Member of the French label @quadriviumusic, and of the very sharps @metacortexrecords and @paintedchaosproject, on which he has just released an album, he is also co-founder of the collective Quiproquo, a festival honoring psychedelic culture in its most varied expressions and boss of his own label @freepsyrecords.

Guiding you inside the vortex will be 8 artists, from different realities in Italy and beyond, with a unique vision of music and without genre compromise.

Welcoming you into the spiral will be Atoloi with a dub-influenced track. The journey continues with the duo Marmo, Alessandro Baroncini, Radiation Pattern and Philip Kylberg who will guide you through dark environments characterized by drones, rhythmic interlocks and tribal and psy influences.

Taking you by the hand in the second half will be Rudis Materia and Know Artist, their music characterized by pressing grooves, massive synths with techno and tribal overtones.

ICI MTN is a live performer and producer, member of the Franco-Dutch collective Plor. Through his creations, he develops a hypnotic and melancholic universe with a deep, minimal and hybrid techno aesthetic.

Close to sound creation and electroacoustic music, he maintains a porous link with these influences, which naturally lead him to integrate a sensitive, poetic dimension into his music.

"This mix is inspired by life on a microscopic scale. I drew from two different topics I have been reading about over the past year or two, the first being moss & lichen, and the second being quantum physics. Robin Wall Kimerer’s writing on moss introduces the reader to a tiny world teeming with life beyond our vision, and Carlo Rovelli’s writing on quantum physics attempts to help us understand the minute & strange fabric from which reality is theoretically woven. 

The word subtle can be read as describing something delicately complex & understated, as well as something arranged in an ingenious & elaborate way. Thus, the plane of subtle form paints an image of the intricate realm of the minutiae. Moving through rainforests of moss and gorges of bark, the mix traverses this infinitesimal yet vast expanse. Becoming gradually more abstract towards its centre, things break down completely at a moment of quantum instability, a leap between one state and the next. We emerge into a new place in an instant and continue forth into the strange & unpredictable beauty of our natural world." 

Bio: Born in London & having lived in Bristol, James Laing aka Night Garden draws from the sounds of those two cities, alongside musical knowledge gained during his classical compositional training. With releases on Melifera, Bahn, Indefinite Pitch & Breatice M's hybrid Dubstep label, Bait, Night Garden aims to create richly psychedelic & hypnotic pieces which combine modern sound design with classical theoretical concepts.

"About the storytelling, well,  i can explain how the process of the recording was:
Friday night, It has been a hard and stressful day.
Everyone at home is sleeping, so I take a RedBull can from the fridge and I go to my dinner room.
I close the door, and start to record. The healing vibes start in my technics turntables and my Genelec monitors that sound very low.
I don't want to wake anyone up.
The next two hours are just for me.

His progressive sessions, profound and with long mixes, are real voyages that sail through experimental music, ambient and horizontal and dubby techno.

His productions are 4x4 experiments of low tempo with field recordings and marked spaces, where he explores timbres, textures and cinematographic structures. He is resident at the Alpenglühen and Taiga sessions and owner of the label Antimatter together with Bule.

Liminality

The sun had been gone for 181 days.

That was the nature of the world they had chosen. Gliese-7d, a rogue planet captured in an elliptical orbit around a dying red star, was a place of extremes. Half the year bathed in an anemic, ember-like glow; half the year swallowed by a night so absolute that it numbed the senses. The colonists called it The Verge—the razor-thin band that lay between those two realms, a twilight belt that drifted across the surface with the slow inevitability of a glacier.

The first hints of light were now visible at the horizon, a soft cerulean glow teasing the return of the star. The darkness had its own kind of peace, stretching across the sky like a cathedral vault. In the absence of the sun, the cosmos itself seemed closer, the band of the Milky Way a frozen river of light. There had been something strangely pure about it, as if existence had been reduced to its simplest terms—heat, breath, motion. And now, with the return of the light, that purity would be lost.

There was always a moment—this moment—when the threshold was crossed between the long night and the long day, a sliver of time where the world was neither one thing nor the other. The darkness receded, the light approached. For 181 days, there had been longing for warmth. Now, there was reluctance to surrender the cold.

The vapor of breath drifted into the first true light of the new cycle. Then, the darkness was behind.

Born in Santiago, Chile, and spending years living in Hong Kong and Miami. Haumea has emerged as a true up and coming artist delivering new sounds of experimental organic and hypnotic techno as well as ambient soundscapes. At the core of Haumea’s musical philosophy lies a deep reverence for nature and its intricate rhythms. Art pieces, and animation sound design are also amongst the many other things that inspire Haumea's musical process. He believes that the inherent connection between humanity and the natural world can be translated into evocative soundscapes that resonate with listeners on a profound level. By seamlessly blending organic elements with hypnotic rhythms, Haumea crafts immersive sonic narratives that transport audiences to different realms.

"Sound designer and electroacoustic music composer, I’m curious and always seeking new sounds and rhythms. I create using what surrounds me.

Trained in sound engineering and later in fine arts, I now work on light installations and original soundtracks. I also lead sound design workshops and occasionally work as a technician.

With my music, I try to create sonic frictions — to organize and disrupt, to make rhythms collapse into textures infused with many genres, from jazz to club and rave music, as well as acousmatic and electroacoustic traditions. In the end, I’m simply making electronic music.

Deeply inspired by François Bayle’s concept of “i.son,” I bring a lot of plasticity to my sound approach, focusing on sound as a vector for mental imagery."

ILAY, a young sound artist behind the alias ILAYRUNI, works at the crossroads of electronic music and percussive instruments. Merging these two worlds, he explores the possibility of rhythm and sound.
Growing up in a family that had a strong bond with the electronic music scene, ILAY had access to a wide range of styles and sounds, giving him the chance to wander and discover all types of frequencies and feelings.
Traveling through a wide range of styles during his sets and productions, he seeks highly percussive rhythmic.
