In 2010, while engaging in a conversation with his label head, Logic Spin, Necmi posed a simple question: How can he refine his sound? To this, Logic Spin responded with profound wisdom: "Hey, buddy, your sound is already dirty and incredibly cool. It's what makes it uniquely yours and absolutely electrifying on the dancefloor. So why alter it to conform when you've got your own path, bro?" With those words, a fresh genre was born - "Dirty Prog."
Necmi's journey with music began at an early age, as he tinkered with tape and record players, crafting short samples back in the early '80s. Later, after years of playing the guitar, the electronic realm beckoned him, leading to his first encounter with an iconic 808 in 1992.
In 2004, he embarked on a quest for knowledge, studying Audio Engineering at the SAEx, further honing his production skills. These years saw him balancing life's passions as a musician, an audio engineer, and a dedicated social worker.
Necmi's music has reverberated across the globe, with performances in the vibrant scenes of Goa, Australia, Thailand, Brazil, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Denmark, Austria, Turkey, and beyond.
After his tenure as A&R at PSR Music, Necmi unfurled the canvas of iDirty Records in 2016, marking a new chapter in his remarkable journey.
And here we are, ready to dive into the depths of Dirty Prog with Necmi, where the beats are unapologetically raw and the music speaks a language all its own.
