Copenhagen’s Neco, known to his mum as Nico Carstensen, is currently based in Vienna, and already has his own ‘Neco Sound’ at the crux of Future Bass and Trap. Blazing a trail in developing new musical areas, he now brings his beats to wider audiences. It’s clear that the young musician is creating waves and is rapidly making a name for himself in the industry.

Influenced from his early days by old-school hip-hop and a skater lifestyle, Neco has a very strong cultural affinity which resonates in the music that you hear from him. After finishing his studies of Music Management and Studio Productions at a London University, the Austrian-Danish beat-maker had a stint in marketing, before deciding to apply his passion and knowledge for music full-time.

Neco released his first pieces of music on the label ‘Filterjam', with whom he now has a strong management relationship. Since then he has also had releases on labels such as,’’ICON’’ and now ‘’Universal Music’’.

After achieving success with his releases, naturally live performances came into play. Neco started Djing at private parties and bars around the area he lives in, but this rapidly transformed into professional bookings in numerous well-known clubs and venues. Eventually, Neco was sharing stages with the likes of Ekali, Salute, Milo Mills, 8ers, Snakehips, Troyboi, Stooki Sound, Pham, Sam Galleitry and labels such as Soulection, HW&W, Kitsune and many more.
