The year is 2036. Now implanted at birth, the nano computer has become an integral part of modern life. Forgetfulness a thing of the past; memories stored permanently on the chip. Governments and corporations have invested in technology that will one day allow mankind to live forever in a machine; individual lives meshed together in a database. In this digital world, time and space are an illusion, limited only by the speed of thought. Dreams become reality, revisited at any time.

Maybe it's only obvious to me, but I always imagined that most of my funky / bluesy / jam session tracks are played by the same band, faffing about while waiting for that diva singer to show up.

The goal of resurrecting this old track was to give the solo lead a more robust backing, and the organ accomplished that quite nicely. The solos are pretty much untouched, except for some vibrato and note length tweaks. This was also a great excuse to dive into Harmor resynthesis, importing the actual single-cycle waveforms used in the XM.

All in all, I think the band has matured a lot since 1996, wouldn't you agree? =)
