This EP is written with the intent to send the listener on a ritual journey that absorbs them.
The sound drawing them into a spell. to scare and unsettle.
The contrast between captivating atmospheres, signaling a dark journey of discomfort through the deep basses, represent the black magic the so-called dark magic.
Energies and demons are locked in the music, processing dark energies.
The black magic is supposed to take over, to the listener, and make them yearn to it. To bend and submit to the ritual sounds of the dark as nothing more than a part, a facet of what it entails to be alive !

A ritual studies analysis of Goa Gil's "Redefining the Ancient Tribal Ritual for the 21st Century," commonly known as the "Goa Trance Party" or "Psychedelic Trance Party." The phenomenon is looked at from the points of view of Emile Durkheim, Victor Turner and Max Weber. Dukheim's theories are used to establish the event as social or secular ritual. The phenomenon is then shown to fit Turner's conception of ritual structure, following the pattern of a rite de passage. Finally, the role of Weberian charisma in the figure of Goa Gil, the DJ, is considered. Ultimately the phenomenon is argued to be "ritual" contingent on all three points of view, the charismatic dynamic allowing for the successful application of ritual structure and resulting in a specifically "ritual" type of collective effervescence.”

VA Forma Melodia is an experimental / psycore compilation involving 11 producers & 11 illustrators. This project brings different art types and different artists together.

Forms reflect the sound, melody illuminates the darkness and colors of the sunset brighten our dreams. We believe music harbors everything inside and types of art always need to be connected. We can have an imaginary journey of sound inside the music.

Music creates the space and time, the atmosphere and the characters. Inside one track you can travel through a liquid story of melodies. Music is an art form which contains every kind of art inside; and more specifically music contains everything that we can imagine. Every type of art can inspire and be inspired from each other. Especially music has been the biggest inspiration for other types of art. With this album we want to connect different artists together and visualize the sound.

All tracks have similar kind of experimental / deep and psycore tunes from different artists. Illustrators involved have different art styles; but we tried to match the producers and designers according to the sense of their art styles. This album has an art story related with the tracks. Each track has one artwork made with inspiration received from the track. Artists tried to visualize the sound using their own creative ways. There are 11 tracks / 11 artworks inside this album.

I’m Chris Spirakis and I’ve been involved with music since childhood. I studied violin for 3 years at a music school. I started listening to electronic music in 2005 and then decided to experiment on it in 2009. My 1st official release was in 2014. from Darknox Rec.  I’m a member of Darknox Rec. andThe Endless Knot. but I have also worked with other record labels and have particitated in various VA compilations. Other collaborations: Psymoon Rec, Horrodelic Rec, Triptec Rec, Evil Instinct Rec, Jellyfish Frequency Rec, Draweedian Rec, Squamata Rec and Popol-Vuh Rec. I like this music scene a lot because I believe it brings people together and connects them in a way. It’s a kind of music without lyrics that awakens unknown primevil instincts and ideas deep into our consciousness, and helps our own minds to travel and explore things we are not well aware of.
