They gave to us,

Turned us from Beast to Fish.

They left the seas,
But vowed one day to come back.

For signs of their return.

That we've forgot,
And misunderstood their tails.

When sharks nest upon the land,
And the waves gain momentum,
The shark will teach the fish to swim...

Galactic plane, atmospheric, the land beyond somehow toxic.

Dorsal, the flesh, that can somehow take the pain.

We layer our scales,
We crave the sun.
Bi-respiratory,
Our sky an ocean.

Oh, a-why am I to breathe the ocean upon the lake?

Grow, extend, translate.

Oar reptillian,

Serpentine propulsion, manifest devotion.
Intent, the bond linking direct.

Trying to evacuate,
The water from the lungs.

As the brain is starved of air.

Last of my Kind

Bulbous eyes regard the external stimuli from the edge of a wide cavern.
The kraken lurks at the hearth of it's burrow, gazing up at the ships high above.

Our transgressions are measured in it's prehensile limbs, but it's beak is compassionate. Behind expressionless eyes and cold detachment, the empathy of the cephalopod forgives the planet.

Long has this singular expression reflected about the interior of a great and ancient skull. Reverberating between the dense tissues of a thing long passed, here is the signal transverbulated to a human-consumable format.

The production and emission of this audio was assisted by Hardback Studios, transported via submersible to the blackened depths to refine and perfect the calibrations of vast columns of macromachinery.

This track was featured on Fist2Face's Music2Face Winter BRUTAL compilation, 2012.

The Water in Fire

From an ancient text, procured from the sea's depths. Written in an extinct language by the fins of Devonian intelligences, their tonal histories and prophecies are now translated to a human-decipherable format.

Can't we sea,
From water to the land and the trees?
The surface is obscured.

Refracts,
The images are distorted.
But why is this?

Ripples on the surface,

Until you break through.

Is there land above the surface?

Our eyes won't blink.

Fish say they've seen the boats,
But I have never seen one.
Fish say they've been taken up,
But they have never returned.

Have the boats set up their nets?
Do the boats control the surface?
We see them swim across it,
Did they make it to contain us?

Don't they want us on the land?
Why do they want us in the sea?
Are we somehow not ready?
Are they waiting for us to grow?

When will we outgrow the sea?
When will we learn to walk?

When we find our pond too small,
Will we all leave or be taken?

Will they come and take away,
The surface?

When they take the whole thing down,
Will se see the land through the trees?

Do we deserve,
Fire?

Do we deserve,
To sea the truth?

Amongst the Sea Kelp

In the time of the One Great Sea, the tides were overseen by the Necrocharadon, the manifestation of violence and destruction. Enforcing the rule of survival and relationship of predator and prey, evolution gripped the sea and inspired a range of innovative adaptions.

Over time, the landscape altered itself in much the same vein as the creatures and the influence of the Necrocharadon faded toward redundancy.

Nontheless, a remnant of their species survived the Great Extinctions. Vast and powerful, this creature was coveted, imprisoned.

Soon, the relevancy of evolution would be apparent once more and the Necrocharadon would return to the waters to inspire the development of life's complexity.

Difficult has the transcription been of these particular tones, from the depths of spectrum they have come.
We have not translated the language-inscriptions attached at this stage, for the sequence is somehow resistant. It evades our grip with every lunge, yet reveals itself in droplets.
The sea will allow us these wave forms soon enough.

The Violence of a Sea in Storm

Necroquarium is a one-man death metal band focussed on the horrors of the sea and the creatures that dwell within it.

Drawing inspiration from films such as Jaws and Piranha and artists such as Gojira, Lord Gore, Fondlecorpse, Nailed Shut, Cannibal Corpse and Revolting, Necroquarium strives to write brutal death metal with groovy, catchy riffs and lyrics pertaining to the horrid denizens of the deep.

If you've ever seen a B-grade monster movie with some kind of giant sea creature, this is the musical.
