In Celebration of this Winter Solstice of 2021 I release this song, a re-recording of a song that came through for me last Spring during a very intense time of my life, when I was sitting at my altar with my drum. Calling upon and honoring the directions, our guiding luminaries and tutelaries, for assistance, guidance, protection and blessing,  this song came through. "Pachakuti" means "world reversal"- it is the age we are living, the great Turning, the great Remembering. It's a time of turmoil and great transformation. And so we are Calling upon the Medicine of Life, and elements, the plants, our very consciousness! and all that is present to support us on our journeys of healing and awakening. The ancient wisdom is within our bones, the living wisdom of gaia is floating through the breezes, its growing in the trees and emanating from all beings. This song is a song to invoke and activate the powers that be - in you and me and to create a sacred Relationship with Life and all souls.

Inspired by the 33 names of Durga as recited at the Shanti Mission, Vishaka and I created this song to invoke the Mother Goddess is her Multifaceted forms. Durga is the Great Mother Goddess, in the Hindu pantheon~Para Adi Shakti, the first form of the Divine feminine Shakti. Also called Mahadevi....in her more "milder" forms she is Lakshmi, Goddess of Prosperity, Health, Abundance, Fertility. She is also Saraswati, Goddess of the Arts, Music, Writing and Higher Knowledge. In her more wrathful forms she is Kali and Chandi. Durga is also lovingly called Narayani, She who provides the Basis for all Life. Durga means "difficult to approach" or "the invincible" or "the inaccessable." She is the ultimate warrior goddess, one to invoke with full devotion when all-changing breakthroughs are needed in the psyche, to "slay the demons" or if you prefer to say: bring the shadows to Light!.....always with the LOVE of the Mother.

This is a whole new version of my previously released song "The Present is a Gift"- which was really more of a chant. This particular version was birthed in ceremony while I was playing my B Kurd Rav Vast drum and Eric James DeAratanha was accompanying me on guitar. It was so magical, I vowed that night to make sure that this song got a proper recording to be shared with the world! And so, we did just that!!

Translation: "The infinite power of the Universe has been crystallized to create an era of peace and great harmony."
I hope you enjoy this song of powerful intention and invocation! Blessed Be this creation and our precious opportunity to be on this planet. The song begins with the "grand invocation," which the melody of this portion was inspired by the great Shanti Shivani, vocalist, druphad singer and sound healer (www.shantishivani.com)(*please note- the original version I recorded of this song had the melody she composed, but I have changed it, yet I still feel it is inspired by her melody) It is a traditional invocation that was transmitted to her from Dr. Emoto. On his blog, Dr. Masaru Emoto has called for the 11th of each month to be “The Day of Prayer for Peace on Earth,” with people stopping what they are doing at noon and saying the Grand Invocation, the prayer that was created by Dr. Nobuo Shioya (who was said to be the reincarnation of Laozi) and the words to which are below. Dr. Emoto also suggests that the Grand Invocation be used as a lead-in to one’s daily prayers for the waters of Fukushima.

Be Like Water

Ho'oponopono means to make right- and it usually pertains to healing the disharmony between people. In Hawaiian tradition there was a special ceremony to Ho'oponopono (make right), when there was a disagreement or conflict between individuals. The elder or kupuna of the village would often lead the ceremony and bring the people together to help facilitate this making right of the relationship. The Ho'oponopono ceremony may have taken place by the ocean in which special oli (chants) were recited and a certain limu (seaweed) was used. We all know the ocean's healing effect it can have on us! 
There is now a prayer commonly associated with Ho'oponopono, which my no means is "traditional" , yet it is imbued with the qualities and values of Ho'oponopono: "Thank You (Gratitude), I Love you (Love), Please Forgive me (Forgiveness & Compassion) I Forgive You. Ho'oponopono, Mahalo Nui Loa." I adopted this version of this prayer from my friend Ali. Music (Kalimba and shakers) and Melody by Mary Isis.... plus nature sounds.

I recorded this song on a full moon and lunar eclipse, February 10th, 2017. Feeling the lunar pull so deeply, i feel the moon pulled this song out of me while I also desired to create a song in honor of Our Beautiful and Sacred Moon~ Mahalo i ka Mahina! Gratitude to the Moon! For all of the lunar transmissions, for all the phases we go through together, for our deep cosmic connection....
I incorporated the Vedic Mantra for the Moon:
Om Sran Srim Sraum Sah Chandraya Namaha.
This is very powerful balancing mantra for the mind and emotions, and when recited with pure devotion it works to harmonize.

We all depend on Water for our life and comfort. Humanity is awakening more and more to the innate power that Water possesses- which is causing us to re-evaluate what Life Really Is, For Water itself can store and transfer energetic memory and information and is indeed receptive to our intentions and prayers. I really resonated with the deity Varuna, "The Lord of the Waters" and created this song to invoke reverence for the power of Water. Mrityunjaya Mantra

What a potent time to be alive!  Words fall short to describe the blessings that life bestows as we open ourselves in full presence to truly connect with life. 
This song is very dear to me for many reasons. For starters it was the wisdom of our whale (cetacean) earth family that was an inspiration to this song (which you will hear in this song: humpback and blue whale songs)
A few years ago I released a very different version of this song , more electronic style and had a sister hip hop lyricist from B.C. Canada (Quean of the Green) add her vocals and verse to it, which she released on her own album (Flocus). I felt like I needed to re-record this song in a more organic way and that there was new energy to bring through it.
In this new version you will hear the vocal contribution from my dear brother and awesome sacred musician Madhu Anziani.  
The words that will hear me singing and him speaking are in the ancient Quechua language of the Q'ero people of Peru. Some of these words are:
