This one started as a passing thought while I was straightening up my room.
I remember thinking how nice it would be to fall onto my bed without hitting a phone or laptop, and I said it out loud, “soft landings.” That small idea stuck with me.

I wasn’t trying to write a song. I was just talking and wondering what it would sound like if life felt like that, if everything around me was a place I could fall into without getting hurt.
I’ve been integrating two cats lately, so the line about them made its way in too.

It’s simple, maybe even nothing at all, but it became a small reminder that softness isn’t just comfort, it’s care, space, and safety. Sometimes songs start that way, by noticing the quiet things that hold you up.
