I m glad to share with you my solo track in my collab EP with Tom Place which will be out on Artaphine. 


Now it's finally time to uncover the first release of Artaphine Records. Here two worlds collide creating various shapes in between. On one hand we have Tom Place, who is more known for his breakbeat excursions on Childsplay and Fly By Night, while Clotur takes more of a dive into the deep and groovy style of techno that resulted in releases on Counterchange and his own label Warok.

Kicking off the EP with the solo track from Tom Place, setting off with the same pace as 'Tearing Down Your Walls', released on our VA last year. After that 'Melting Shapes' hits the perfect example of finding balance between artists with different production styles. With 'Object Model', the artists take the offbeat excursion while Clotur closes the EP with a 9-minute journey to the various corners of his production skills.

"Warok’s last release of 2020 consists of a mixture of intricate breakbeat & hypnotic techno courtesy of Tom Place. Having been featured on Bade records, Typeless & MOTZ to name a few, he brings his signature fusion of breaks, techno, electro & dubstep to the label. ‘Core Values' leads out with warm atmospheric pads & leads over a complex breakbeat sequence; a perfect warmup track. Next follows ‘Destructive sequences’; a hard hitting rolling techno track, punctuated with deep bass growls beneath. ‘Destructive Sequence (JC Laurent remix)’ is next up, putting an awesome breakbeat spin on the track, changing into a glitchy, intricate groove which is sure to get clubs moving. ‘Simple Maths’ is fourth; a through and through techno tool with a hypnotic groove that bounces along effortlessly. Following that is the second remix of the EP; once again by JC Laurent is a darker, noisier take on the track ‘Simple Maths’.
