Unit 137 enter 2018 with this weighty little free download from Ed West. The track explores the relationship between Dancehall & Jungle, sampling a vocal Ed discovered on a white label record with four dub cuts of the ‘Billie Jean’ riddim. The singer is called Squidley Steve and is still relatively unknown to us, despite some research.

Ed West is a producer, DJ & drummer who works with a fusion of styles. Ed has collaborated with some of the top MC’s in the game such as Parly B, RTKal, INJA, Gardna, & of course all of the UNIT 137 family. Ed has released music on Reggae Roast, Tru Thoughts, Born On Road & Boom Sound gaining support from BBC Radio DJ’s such as Rodigan, Toddla T & Don Letts on many of his previous releases.

‘Badman In The Dance’ sets the rhythm for Unit 137 in 2018, a heavy teaser leading up to the labels first album, which drops in April 2018.
