i wrote this lil lullaby so that i could stop being so hard on myself. even though i accepted that these voices existed in my brain, i wasn’t gonna let them get to me anymore.

i’d find any excuse to make myself feel undeserving of all the happiness and success i’ve gotten. to find any mistake throughout my day, whether it was in my voice or through my actions, and let them take a hold of my conscience. 

this song is a way to stop myself from doing that by telling myself that…

even if i label myself a burden, i’m living in my own paradise, and that’s what really matters.
