Mit dem neuen NEER Podcast präsentieren wir euch einen Allrounder im Bereich der elektronischen Musik. Er verbindet Techno mit einer Kombination brutalistischer und minimalistischer Ästhetik. Ähnlich wie bei den Arbeiten großer Designer wie Andree Puman oder Le Corbusier geht es um Linien, Kontraste und die Erforschung von Raum und Zeit. Ian kommt aus Frankreich und ist auch dort im Pariser Concrete Club zum ersten Mal in die Berührung mit Techno gekommen. Heute ist er Produzent und DJ seit mittlerweile vier Jahren und pendelt zwischen Belleville, Paris und Kreuzberg.

Music has always been an important for him, through instruments and records from classical to metal.
He describes techno as the meta-level between being and not-being and likes to lose himself in the ambience of the RSO Berlin.

Neryn's style is heavily influenced by the old school, groovy and percussive sound and every music that transmits something to her. Her soul-and emotionally driven approach to music reflects in her way to transfer happiness and freedom with a touch of rawness. Neryn's goal is to create a worry-free trance state and an energetic unique sound fueled by exactly those feelings she aims to transmit. 
In barely 3 years since she started mixing, Irene Álvarez Blanco aka Neryn has had quite a musical journey in her homeland Spain. Gigs widely spread all over the country. Apart from organizing parties in and around her hometown Logroño, La Rioja, Irene has also played at clubs like Jimmyjazz(Vitoria), Panda Club(Santander), and Studio76(Madrid)  where she worked with collectives such as @CRUDO, @phase ctv and @holle.club.
She currently lives in Madrid and dreams of coming to berlin some day.

He is a talented DJ and pianist who is deeply invested in music theory and composition. Lisa Mariaux alias "MAR", an up-and-coming DJ, is 22 years old and currently resides in Berlin. She discovered her deep-rooted passion for electronic music in her hometown Aachen and started DJing herself during her studies in Trier in 2020. Since the start of 2022, MAR has been captivating audiences with her DJ sets at various clubs and events across cities such as Berlin, Cologne, Kiel, Aachen, Trier, and Münster. MAR is also a resident at "ATARAXIA" and frequently performs at the "Humboldthain Club" in Berlin. With musical inclinations towards groove, hardgroove, and trance, she brings highly arousing energy to each of her sets. Her ultimate objective is to cultivate a carefree and secure atmosphere on the dancefloor

Since her childhood, electronic music stood above all other genres for Weyd. She discovered her first techno track in 2014. Barely two years later, she dared to try her hand at DJing. Initially, Nina was playing melodic techno, but for several years now, she has discovered rhythmic tool techno for herself. She primarily draws her musical inspiration from Luke Slater and several others of the Ost Gut Ton label. Regularly, she deep-dives into the depths of Bandcamp and Soundcloud to find the least known but well-produced tracks and add them to her carefully created and unique tracklist. Introducing David Becker, also known as Bekkler, a captivating artist celebrated for his unique sound. With a lifelong connection to music, he mastered the piano and drums in his childhood. As a child, David even sang in operas and began producing beats at the age of 13. Eight years ago, he discovered the allure of techno and embraced DJing, favoring vinyl to mesmerize crowds with his individual style. @Bekkler has played in various Berlin clubs through his involvement with the Backhaus Collective. His cherished venue is Ohm, a small yet special location where he had his first club experiences and continues to dance passionately today.

Julian Szorkow, bekannt als Ancient Alien, ist aufstrebender DJ und Produzent in der Berliner Szene. Vor neun Jahren verliebte er sich in Techno und entschied sich vor zwei Jahren, Sound Engineering zu studieren, während er sein künstlerisches Pseudonym "Ancient Alien" schuf. Seine Inspiration zieht Er aus alltäglichen Momenten und Emotionen, und Kunst bedeutet für ihn den Ausdruck des Augenblicks. Techno ist für ihn mehr als nur Musik; es ist die Möglichkeit, sich durch Musik und Tanz auszudrücken und ungewöhnliche Klänge zum Leben zu erwecken. Daneben engagiert sich Julian leidenschaftlich in der Techno-Szene, der Kultur und im Aktivismus. Er arbeitet daran, einen warmen, fairen und sicheren Ort für alle zu kreieren.

James Smyth, a 26-year-old DJ with Lebanese roots, born in New Zealand, currently resides in Berlin. At the age of 12, he discovered his passion for DJing by initially experimenting with Virtual DJ. A year later, after switching to a DJ controller, his love for DJing deepened, simultaneously sparking his interest in music production.

Our twentieth podcast of the NEER Series features „Rigor“. He is DJ and producer raised and based in Berlin. He has performed at numerous events, including BCCO, PureEcho, and Sissyphos Berlin. He has been a passionate musician for 13 years. At the age of 17, he acquired his first mixer, the Xone42. He quickly started producing music and acquired several synthesizers. After discovering his passion for production, he pursued studies in Audio Assistant and Audio Engineer, which became part of his musical journey.

As Lust Klub residents, they played at Helios and Odonien in Cologne, as well as at Aeden in Berlin. Highlights from the past year included performances at the Suicide Club in Berlin, P.O.D.D at Club Smederij in Tilburg (NL), and Aura at the Artheater with Freddy K.

Matti, aka Klinke, is a 21-year-old DJ based in Berlin and currently residing in Paris. As a member of the Backhaus-Kollektiv, he aims to craft a continuous atmosphere in his mixes, emphasizing smooth intros and a thoughtfully curated selection.

Despite experimenting with various instruments, his true passion lies in dance. This led him to explore music, blending his favorite dance tracks seamlessly in mixes. Matti's journey began with illegal open-air and bunker parties, progressing to established venues like Humbolthain, Remise, and Aeden. While he cherishes the freedom of illegal events, Aeden stands out as his best club experience so far.

Today's podcast act comes from Manrick Stapez, also known as Manuel Alejandro. He is a 26-year-old DJ from Würzburg, raised in Munich, who moved to Berlin three years ago. Here, he found inspiration in fast and dynamic grooves, especially in the Hardgroove genre. Manrick has already performed at Aeden, Orwohaus, Bunker, 168 Stereogun (Portugal), Recede, and Phono Club. She collected influences from her Luxembourgish roots and Serbian heritage, which have profoundly shaped her distinctive sound that gets the crowd moving with mischievous smiles

In her twenties she started her career as a professional portrait photographer. For many years she focussed on her passion to visual art. But over the years she decided to put more effort into her music to express her creativity in more than one way.

Jane has already performed at well-known venues such as About Blank, ÆDEN, Suicide Club Berlin, Remise Berlin, Südpol Hamburg, Feel Festival and many more.

Pino Peña, a German DJ and producer, is renowned for his dynamic sets encompassing house, jazz, and techno. Raised in Biberach, Germany, Pino developed his musical prowess in his youth, mastering drums and electric bass guitar. Meet Darcy Hanneman, behind the decks known as Darc, a 32-year-old artist hailing from Lahaina, Hawaii, now living in Berlin. Darc blends a signature sound that stays for keeping the vibe groovy and bouncy.

Darc's journey into DJing began a decade ago in 2014, stemming from years of piano playing and experimentation with various instruments. Since then, Darc has graced the stages of renowned Berlin venues like Tresor, OXI, Aeden, Funkhaus, and Aeve.

Looking ahead, Darc's musical aspirations revolve around producing and releasing more original tracks. They're also dedicated to advancing their record label, Divine Species, alongside their mates, with a special focus on promoting and amplifying female and non-binary talent within the scene.
